FLASH: Kerry stated: 'That's why they had to close down the subway in New York when the Republican Convention was there.' (Driving home point that Bush as not done enough to protect the country.)

The NYC subway did not close at all during the convention, according to a report on cable outlet NY1...

"The United Nations, Kofi Annan offered help after Baghdad fell. And we never picked him up on that and did what was necessary to transfer authority and to transfer reconstruction."

Rebuttal: The same way they administered the OIL FOR FOOD PROGRAM!

Here's a small Kerry debate lie/distortion, that I have not seen noted:

Kerry: "Right now the president is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to research bunker-busting nuclear weapons. The United States is pursuing a new set of nuclear weapons. It doesn't make sense.

You talk about mixed messages. We're telling other people, "You can't have nuclear weapons," but we're pursuing a new nuclear weapon that we might even contemplate using.

Not this president. I'm going to shut that program down, and we're going to make it clear to the world we're serious about containing nuclear proliferation."

Actually, the nuclear weapon system referred to by Kerry in the debates is NOT new, but a mature weapon system. The B-61 nuclear weapons are free falling tactical nuke that have been around for many years. They come in 11 modifications or "Mods" that are improvements or refinements of the basic system.

The B-61 mod-11, referred to by Kerry in the debates, has been harden to penetrate the ground surface like underground bunkers. Kerry implies the U.S. is "pursuing a new set of nuclear weapons."

Wrong.

The B-61s nuclear weapons are an OLD "Set."

Major problems for Kerry Kampaign:

"Global Test" comment(would give UN decision making control over US soveriegnty)

Go to N. Korea alone, yet we need more allies in Iraq (as if 40 countries isn't enough)

Misspeaking on "Flajublah" and a Polish prison camp in Moscow (if you are going to use it, at least GET IT RIGHT!)

Kerry would give Iran nukes after badgering Bush about N. Korea "on his watch" comment (when it was Clinton)

Against bunker busters, missle defense

Would send troops to Sudan (no US interests) but not to Iraq.

The Tommy Frank comment (Franks himself busted that lie)

They Tora Bora myth that Osama walked away (I think the last video sends the message that Osama is dead - or close to it - and he is next in charge)

Center of War on Terror is Iraq (Kerry would rather see planes fly into buildings than stand up to them on their own turf)

Saddam & WMD's - Syra border open (if Saddam buried his air force, he hid WMD's as well)

There's alot I caught, but much more that the Kerry Clowns have to explain their way out of. I don't want a well-groomed poodle as President, and Kerry fell flat on substance and real explanations. Bush was Presidential and won this debate - Kerry answered nothing.
