I think President Bush must do one thing tonight at the debate, beyond the no errors, call Kerry on flip-flopping. Bush must reconnect that Iraq is and was part of War on Terror. A recent poll showed that 62% approve on his handling of War on Terror but it drops to 49% on Iraq. Kerry and other Dems are trying to disconnect Iraq and the War on Terror. Bush must reconnect the two, not only in the present, but also in the past. Talk about the known contacts between Al Qeada and Iraq, the Terrorist who lived in Iraq. That Zarqawi, was in Iraq and planning and carrying out international terror acts before the war began. If Bush does that, then I think Kerry is toast. But if Bush just talks about the terrorist today, it plays into Kerry's "Iraq is worse off today, lets keep Saddam". lines of thought.
Oh cmon now. It's Bush, he has to make a mistake. Just wouldnt be him if he didnt say "misunderestimate" or something :)
Bush needs to be honest...be himself...and scumbag Lurch will take care of himself.
"Bush needs to be honest...be himself...and scumbag Lurch will take care of himself.
Perfect!
Bush has carte blanche to make little mistakes. The best part about the mistakes is it is always obvious what he is saying. This means that when the Dems blow it out of proportion, they lose credibility.
When Kerry makes a mistake, it is usually so nuanced it is incomprehensible without a followup statement several days later... which usually only confuses the issue even further.
He'll do fine. The pressure is on the longwinded nuanced flipflopper.
Iraq now is a terrorist magnet for the region. It's a difficult fight there but would be near impossible if it were to occur on US soil.
Kerry can paint the situation any way he likes but the fact is the alternatives would have been horrific. Taken a step further, Kerry is arguing the enemy's side, encouraging them.
That's what people love about Bush...just be his honest straight forward TEXAS SELF....we just love COWBOY'S...TEXAS COWBOY'S that is!!! ;o)
(((LAUGHING....AND SMILING)))) Bush is so Texas...and we always come across, well you know!!! GGGRRREEEAAATTT!!!
Kerry has to really force things to make something happen. He can't play it safe. He will attack and attack pretty hard. Bush will maintain perfect calm and come off as more mature, stable and yes- even more intelligent.
Hopefully Bush will be relentless with the flip-flop angle. Kerry may get pissed off and show his ass.
Ultimately- I expect a real yawner out of Bush tonight just because the less eventful the better for him. He has nothing to prove. Hopefully Kerry will try too hard and self destructs.
The DU headline says "Substance over Style", comparing Kerry to Bush. The only substance concerning Kerry, is the stuff that turned him orange, the freaking clown..
Gore the bore all over again....what's with these bozos...guess they're not happy in their own skin. Geeezzzz!!! The Friggin' Fakers!!!
Kerry will probably come out some other shade than orange. His makeup people will see to that. He might look like an Indian or he might look like a pasty powdered French nobleman from the 1700's. But he's going to be adverse to appearing orange.
With all that money....he should look top notch....tone him down a bit....but knowing skerry, he'll insist on looking tan...hope the lights play a trick...and the tan looks orange. He's such a doper. ;o) Hope his state realizes what a complete jerk-off he is...and not re-elect him when his friggin' term is up as senator. He's a NWO kinda guy...... God Help us all from the likes of him.
