Three Worlds
There are three worlds around you. The first one you can touch.
Its where you always get your hugs, and things that mean so much.
Arms reach seems like a small world, but everything is there,
Your food and all your comforts, your favorite easy chair.
Beyond that theres a larger world, of things that you can reach,
With just a little effort, your stroll along the beach.
And in the closer distance, your feet can take you there,
Or maybe just a little climb, if its up in the air.
But then you see the largest sphere, of everything there is,
All of Gods creation, you stand and say, Gee Whiz!
A world of skies and sunsets, of stars and distant dreams,
A world of others, everywhere, with their competing schemes.
We grow up, and our world expands, our vision looks away,
The morning is our chidhood, adulthood is our day,
Our minds keep on expanding, the soul is filled with light.
Well find our challenge out there, when we walk into the night.

Delacroix
Thirst
It troubles me to thirst.
That feeling of doubt just dries my throat,
Unable to walk another step.
My heart pounds, deceitful it is,
O what trickery,
Continuing to play with my mind.
But can He reach my soul?
That is why I thirst!
I need it, I want it, I call for it,
Fill me, oh thirst.
It troubles me to thirst.
Always on my mind,
Continuing to walk with this pain,
Knowing surely I will die.
It drives me, pulls and knocks me down,
But only to pull me up again.
The thoughts are unquenchable, or so they seem.
So how does it end?
This glass forever half full,
Just enough to have me beg for more.
This thirst!
It is driving me MAD!
It troubles me so to thirst.
Crawling, barely moving,
The answer to my thirst calls to me.
Knocking louder and louder upon my heart,
My mind reaches for the door.
So weak, but this thirst calls.
Turning the knob,
Strength fails me;
Fallen I am unable to rise.
I can not take it anymore
Uncontrollable crying further strengthens this excruciating thirst
It troubles me so to thirst.
Laying here on the ground,
My soul starts to shrivel.
Soon all my sores,
Past and present begin to crack, puss and bleed.
Oh, DAMN this thirst!
Take it from me!
Leave me be!
Shall I die upon this floor?
Save me from this thirst!

I LONG
I long for the solitude
of a sunset at sea,
and the chill of the breeze
coming in with the eve.
For the motion of my boat,
as she swings on her rode,
and the beauty of the stars,
in the evenings last glow.

Sunset
Down the boards -
I walk along
to the jetty
going nowhere, really...
I turned toward home
the sun was dropping
in the sky
I stop and watch the colours
the clouds across the bay
Red becomes orange
becomes pink
becomes blue...
The orange is streaked
with a white single line
across one yellow patch
I think, if I
could paint these colours exact
I could paint truth
Somehow, I hold back
not painting realistic shapes
or hue...
When I am free of myself
I will paint
this beauty for you
I will sing you a song
unsung as yet
and stand by your side
until our last sunset.

Sunrise Serenade
Words by Jack Lawrence,
Music by Frankie Carle
1939
Good mornin'
Good mornin'
You sleepyhead
It's dawnin'
Stop yawnin'
Get out of that bed
Say the air is soft as silk
It's time to get the mornin' milk
Come on!
Wake up!
Get up!
Look at the grass
Silver in the sun
Heavy with the dew
Look at the buds
You can almost see
How they're breakin' through
Look at the birds
Feedin' all their young
In the sycamores
But you better get on
With your mornin' chores
Just take a breath
Of that new-mown hay
And the sugarcane
Looks like tonight
There should be a moon
Down in lovers' lane
There you go daydreaming
When it's time that you obeyed
That sunrise serenade

Follow The Instructions
Read: Psalm 119:129-136
The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130
Bible In One Year: Isaiah 9-10; Ephesians 3
After a woman sued a fast-food restaurant for being burned by coffee, companies started changing their manuals and warning labels. Check out these instructions:
- On a frozen dinner: DEFROST BEFORE EATING
- On an iron: CAUTION! DO NOT IRON CLOTHES ON BODY
- On a peanut butter jar: MAY CONTAIN PEANUTS
- On a milk bottlecap: AFTER OPENING, KEEP UPRIGHT
If some people need these obvious guidelines on household items, think about how much more we need God's direction. Psalm 119 tells of the importance of His instruction manualthe Bible. On the pages of Scripture we find what God wants us to believe, to be, and to do.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved" (Acts 16:31).
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:32).
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15).
Ask the Lord to teach you His statutes and to direct your steps according to His Word (Psalm 119:133,135). Then read it often and follow the instructions. Anne Cetas
Give us, O Lord, a strong desire
To look within Your Word each day;
Help us to hide it in our heart,
Lest from its truth our feet would stray. Branon

re drummer Hal Blaine:just wanted to mention that the voice you hear at the beginning of tracks one and two ("Just to call you friend", and then the backtrack for the same song) my music page is that of drummer Hal Blaine asking me or Jim McDonald, "'Kay, I'm going with the piano now?"
I know Hal is an old timer, but i felt i simply HAD to work with him. It was always a thrill to have Hal record with me because, like i said before, he's a legend. i will expand on his resume later. for now suffice it to say he bills himself (i believe accurately) as "the world's most recorded musician".
He's played on at least 7 grammy winning records, over 100 number 1 Billboard hits, etc.
Hal's played for: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Count Basie, Patty Page, Glen Campbell, Herb Alpert, etc., etc., etc., etc.
You can also hear Hal's drums on the following (just a small few of the artists he's played for):
Elvis Presley (can't help falling in love with you, Return to sender, etc.) btw, if you ever rent the Elvis Presley movie "Girls, Girls, Girls" that's Hal playing drums behind Elvis and also behind Stella Stephens in the night club.
The Beach Boys (Good Vibrations, God Only Knows, Wouldn't it be nice, Help me Rhonda, Fun fun fun, Surfin USA, etc., etc., etc.) btw, Dennis Wilson was the Beach Boys drummer in concert, and on some records, but Hal did most fo the studio work on the hit records, etc.
The Carpenters (We've only just begun, Close to you, Rainy Days and Mondays, Superstar, Hurting each other, Goddbye to love, etc., etc.)
John Denver (Calypso, Thank God i'm a country boy, etc., etc.)
Simon and Garfunkle (Bridge over troubled water, Mrs. Robinson, Scarborough Fair, etc.),
Frank and Nancy Sinatra (Something stupid, etc.)
Nancy Sinatra (These boots are made for walkin', etc.)
Barbara Streisand (The way we were)
Jan and Dean (Surf City, Little Old Lady from Pasadena, etc.)
Diana Ross (theme from Mahogany)
Gary Lewis and the Playboys (This Diamond ring, everybody loves a clown)
The partridge Family (Come on get happy, etc.)
Hal's played on many, many tv theme songs (i think he's the drummer on the theme to the Brady Bunch, etc.)
Other people Hal's played for: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Count Basie, Patty Page, Glen Campbell, Herb Alpert, etc., etc., etc., etc.

From the other thread
Yes I play piano (or should say I used to play piano). Of course that's the instrument my ear was tuned to when listening to your music, thus the appreciation of interesting chord changes when one least expected them.
Well, that means a lot to me, because i love interesting chord changes :o) Thank you!
Again Tame, you are very talented and I have a feeling I'll be able to say I knew you before you hit the big league.
Well, we can dream, can't we? lol :o) now i want to hear YOUR music. Got any to link?

How do I make Elephant Stew?
Ingredients
1 Elephant
10 Warthog
100 kilogram tomatoes
half ton potatoes
2 bags onions
100 kilogram salt
1 wheelbarrow onions (heaped)
10 liter vinegar
20 liter chutney
4 Guinea fowl
1 Snow Rabbit
Method
Hunt the elephant, warthog, guinea fowl and snow rabbit. Hang guinea fowl to ripen.
Cut elephant into edible chunks (takes about a month).
Boil the warthog with other ingredients till nice and juicy.
Now boil elephant chunks over high flames till tender (takes 4 weeks), stirring constantly.
Flavor with guinea fowl. Boil for another 5 to 7 days.
Garnish with snow rabbit -- but beware that some don't appreciate hare in their stew.
Produces 3,500 helpings, depending on portions and servers.
Important! No elephants were harmed (or eaten) during the testing of this recipe.
