September 27, 2004 -- Is she or isn't she? The lawyer for Kobe Bryant's accuser yesterday refused to deny reports his client is pregnant by a man she met while at a drug and alcohol treatment center in Florida, but insisted it's not why she declined to go forward with the case.
Lin Wood called news reports that the 20-year-old woman is at least eight weeks pregnant "an invasion of privacy."
Fox News reported that the woman who claimed the Lakers star raped her in a hotel room in June 2003 only to tell prosecutors this month she could not go forward with testifying met the father at a rehab center in Boca Raton.
News of the pregnancy first surfaced in Globe magazine, which reported that the woman learned of her situation a day before dropping out of the criminal case against the NBA great.
Wood said he would not "discuss in the media, or publicly, aspects of my client's private life. I also believe it is irresponsible journalism for the media to discuss private aspects of her life."
He called the Fox report "an invasion of privacy," adding, "The report that a pregnancy had anything to do with her withdrawal from the Bryant prosecution is pure fiction.

Well my goodness this certainly doesn't look good either.
BTW, I should have also said Kobe Bryant sure can pick 'em. I'll bet he never cheats on his wife again ever. It should also teach other people, men or women, about the consequences of getting some groupie love even if it's pushed right up in your face.
She's at least eight weeks pregnant? Gee, if she was married to Mr. Bryant, he'd have some other chick's blood on his shirt by now.
Has Kobe been tested for potential communicable disease(s) from his encounter with this woman ?
If she's doing it with drug and alcohol treatment patients, then I'd be suspect of potential aids, hep, syphillis - etc.
I wonder if she has the nerve to continue with the civil suit against Kobe ? What nerve !!!!!!!
You seem to think that Kobe is as pure as snow in this case.
He's just as bad... probably worse.. than the very young very disturbed girl that he took advantage of.

I think that you should tone down your defense of the slut, regardless of how "bad" Kobe was they were obviously mutually doing the wrong thing, however Kobe didn't bring a false charge of rape.
I don't care an inkling about Kobe or the slut, but what I do care about is her being charged with false statements and wasting the courts time with her escapades and gold digging.
National cases like this are certain to encourage other slut wannabees to do the same if justice isn't served for her lies and deciet.
This chick certainly knows how to get the most out of her 15 minutes.
Kobe sure knows how to pick 'em!

Yep!
A few dollars? How about for free? Gene Simmons probably hasn't paid for the four or five thousand women he's slept with. He had to have gotten at least ONE girl pregnant. Hollyweird types are used to getting it incessantly thrown in their faces. They almost act as if they SHOULD and DESERVE it.
There will be for sure, but does everyman who beds a slut deserve to be dragged through court for charges of rape or sued for menetary damages, when the reality is at the time there were two willing participants?
I won't deny that there are always consequences for actions, and Kobe is certainly facing his, but females in our society already have the upper hand in courts, if they are not appropriately charged and tried for the crime of lying and decieving the ever present wannabees will have more motivation to follow suit.
I only care to see justice served where it should be, Kobe has paid and will continue to pay, it's the sluts turn in the defendants chair.
Her blood on his shirt tells me that, at sometime during this encounter, it got a little rough.
Just ask yourself: In all your sexual encounters, all your friend's sexual encounters -- any blood, by anyone?
Yes, I have and it didn't involve rough sex at all.
BTW, if her convictions of rape are so true, why did she ask the DA to drop the criminal proceedings?
There is only one answer for that, it wasn't rape.
"Although I truly believe this encounter between us was consensual, I recognize now that she did not and does not view this incident the same way I did. After months of reviewing discovery, listening to her attorney, and even her testimony in person, I now understand how she feels that she did not consent to this encounter."
