Really... Communism "IS" socialism.. If we won why is the entire democrat party NOW run by socialists.. The U.S. is now effectivly a democracy with vestiges of the old republic present to hide the fact. Even the republican party is way to the left of where it was in the cold war..or 1992, or 1998 for that matter..
SO.. we won the cold war eh!... As the demos move even further left.. The pubbies lose a little more ground (to appeal to the swing voters, they say) BY MOVING LEFT... Who's winning.?. Not the conservative agenda.. Canada all of URP and eastern URP are socialist havens.. the only difference is in the degree.. Socialism is ADVANCING NOT retreating.. especially in the U.S.. socialism has already won everywhere else.. beggaring a revolution here we're screwed.. But American men generally are too cowardly NOW to actually throw a revolution.. too feminized.. unless a Coup D'Eta happens (it won't) like I said we're screwed blued and tatooed..
Democracy is the road to socialism. Karl Marx
Democracy is indispensable to socialism. The goal of socialism is communism. V.I. Lenin
"...I would like to be clearly understood...we, the Soviet people, are for socialism.... We want more socialism and, therefore, more democracy." Mikhail Gorbachev
"Socialism has a bad name in America, and no amount of wishful thinking on the part of the left is going to change that.... The words Economic Democracy are an adequate and effective replacement." Derek Shearer cited in Reason 1982
The one thing everyman fears is the unknown. When presented this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of well being granted to them by World Government. -- Henry Kissinger, Amiens, France, 1991
Already answered your over-long post in 17:
The communists came here and took residence in the Democrat party.
Schumer of NY is a card carrying member of the Socialist Worker's Party.
Kerry is backed by several communist groups.
It'd be funny, if they weren't so screamingly insane and stupid.
To All:
All warfare is based on deception. Therefore, when capable, feign incapacity; when active, inactivity. When near, make it appear that you are far away; when far away, that you are near. Offer the enemy a bait to lure him; feign disorder and strike him. When he concentrates, prepare against him; where he is strong, avoid him. Anger his general and confuse him. Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance. Keep him under strain and wear him down. When he is united, divide him. Attack where he is unprepared; sally out when he does not expect you. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the supreme skill
Disrupt his alliances
Therefore I say: [If you] know the enemy and know yourself, in a hundred battles you will never be in peril. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, you chances of winning or losing are equal; if ignorant of both your enemy and yourself, you are certain in every battle to be in peril.

The US has problems with the Hard Left, which now controls the Democratic Party, the State Department, 97% or so of the media, almost all universities, the public elementary and secondary schools, for the msot part, and a good percentage of Churches and Synagogues.
I am not a polyanna. But reconsider your view of the Republican Party. The Republican leadership is letting us down badly, the Senate is betraying us to an extent. However, I do not believe the Republican Party is moving to the left, because the rank and file conservatives are, in my opinion, stronger than ever.
In addition, it is harder to maintain a percentage of purity as the ruling party than as a small fringe group, as in the past.
I understand your view, but see things a little more optimistically. We conservatives, in my view, need to coalese nationally and send a message in 2006. Being a resident of Western Pennsylvania (ie next to Ohio), I am going to personally devote myself to trying to form a Middle-Atlantic/Midwest Coalition For a DeWine Primary Defeat (MCDPD).
