Rangel and "Baghdad" Jim McDermott.
Isn't Rangel the one who kind of looks like Al Sharpton with short hair?
One has to wonder if this too will back fire on Kerry's 'favorability' rating. I mean we wanted Dean cause of all this type of wacky stuff..well, we seem to have gotten him.
All mention of reviving the draft has come from the left.
There is a problem with our side making a lot of noise about a draft.
That is, it's conceivable that we will need to revive the draft in the coming years. Coming down strongly with 'no draft on my watch' makes the GOP (if admittedly not Dubya who can't run for office in 2008) more vulnerable on the issue than we need to be.
Bush needs to tell the public Now there will be no draft! and he needs to attack in Iraq, someone has to pay for these beheadings, right away. These inactions will definitely hurt Bush
Yes it is the Democrats that are behind the draft reinstatement proposal.

Don't be fooled by Kerry's rhetoric look it up yourselves.
This is one of the reasons why I have always said that Karl Rove is luckier than he will ever be good. It would have been easy enough to just knock down all this draft talk by having someone from the Bush campaign point out that it was Gargles the Clown (aka Charlie Rangel) who first proposed the return of the draft because he wanted to make sure more rich white boys are sent to war. Why? He hopes that if white boys instead of only black and brown boys die, it will make white voters revolt against further military action.
I can't understand why Rove would let this slander spread across the country the way he has. What is he waiting for? CBS News to expose the Kerry Kamp's lies?
I wish the Bush team would do some ads on this topic. The country needs to know who is really pushing for the draft. They need to run counter ads on MTV
The Pubbies are doing a lousy job countering this. All you need is 1 ad with Kerry whining about the draft, and a list of those draft bills, and their sponsors (with a nice big "D" next to their name).
