Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
CAT I HURRICANE JEANNE ADVISORY #32
DISCUSSION
...JEANNE SOLUTION NOW SOLID...ACTUALLY TO THE LEFT OF NHC TRACK...JEANNE WILL WEAKEN BEFORE REACHING NORTH CAROLINA, HOWEVER...
JEANNE is exiting the anticyclonic loop it has been in for a couple of days. All major models agree on a westward motion and a curve to the north at VT forecast plus five days. NHC has to maintain continuity with previous forecasts, so they admit their track is quite probably insufficiently far enough west. JEANNE will be pulled up into a trough between a HP center to its east and west at VT forecast plus four days.
So we're back to where we were around a week ago--the primary threat appears to be to North Carolina's Crystal Coast and Outer Banks.
Intensity is another issue, however. Dry air appears to be reaching JEANNE from the south and is inhibiting development. There is also shear over the system, which appears to be subsiding. Model guidance suggests a modest increase in strength through VT forecast plus three days, and then a gradual weakening.

In the news...
And in a bizzare new twist to Rathergate, the purveyor of the memos to CBS, Mr. Bill Burkett, plans to sue the network for defamation of character and libel.
Turns out that CBS was supposed to protect the anonymity of Mr. Burkett and "expend both time and money authenticating" the memos they were provided.
Also, Tony Coelho, the former manager of Algore's successful attempt at becoming "the former next President of the United States," stated that the Algore campaign was also verbally given this information, but felt there was "nothing there" so they didn't pursue it.
Also, Mary Mapes, a producer at CBS News, passed the name of Bill Burkett on to the Kerry Campaign, it has been learned.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
You are in our prayers, dear friend.
Praying for you!
Later everyone.
Prayers lifted Doggie....
Listening to Rush today. He called McAulliffe "PUNK!" twice. heh heh heh!
More importantly Rush says that Lockhart told Mary Beth Cahill about the conversation with Burkett and that Cahill told sKerry. I don't see anything in Breaking News about this, is this new info??
Talk about your links and connections. Whewee!!
We're about to leave here. Will check back later.
Prairie
Residents in Virginia and North Carolina should begin preparations for the arrival of JEANNE
Crap -- and hurricane season still has another month to go?
sheesh......
Prayers lifted for you and your family, Dog. My your mother's surgery be successful.....
MAY your mother's surgery be successful.....
Let me be the bearer of good news...
Hurricane season still has over two months to go.
Well, Cora the kitten is recuperating from her operation. I'll be able to bring her home tomorrow. Then, when she has her stitches out, the vet will give me her health certificate for the plane trip, and I'll ask about a tranquilizer...for her or for me???!! HA!
Prayers lifted, Jim. That ventilator business is pretty hard to see. I remember that with my father. Take care. Keep us posted, and get your rest.
Vietnam Redux, I call it. NOT AGAIN IN MY LIFETIME! I VOWED 30 YEARS AGO: NEVER AGAIN!!!
I know this is tough, but this is better news than I had expected from this morning.
I'll continue the heavy duty prayers sweetie.
Yes, Molly, the demoCRAT has done everything in its power to bring all the scars from Vietnam right back up and throw them in the face of the electorate, equating it to the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. It's the demoCRAT, the party that must be abolished and replaced with a decent party before the demoCRAT gets back in power and gets us all killed.
Where is Moorehead City, NC? Near....???
Thank you, Chair.
The pic I get in my mind of K & his ilk:...a snake. It needs to be crushed!! It must never disturb us, our cause, and our self-confidence again.
I'm not saying we're perfect and unquestionable, as I'm sure you agree, but K's kind of self-hating animus must be extinquished!
About two-thirds of the way, northward, from Wilmington to C. Lookout.
