Checking in.
Arrived home, after a morning of meetings, to the tail end of Kerry's press conference. Missed Bush's UN speech but from your comments and from what I heard Rush say he did a great job.
Shep Smith is reporting another beheading.
I'm somewhat groggy and wonder if I'm over medicated. I hope so. That would mean it's time for me to start reducing the dosage. I had given up hope that I would ever get to lower them. It's been 3 yrs since my surgery and I was beginning to thing I would be taking this stuff to handle the nerve damage related pain the rest of my life.
I'm going to take a nap and sleep it off.
Ihope you can reduce too.!!!!
Just got home from WallmartWorld...had to buy cold med stuff...the crud is going around in full force inthe household...ManChild had it and now Mom has it. Thought I was getting it yesterday but blackberry brandy can do wonders!!!
Today was THE LAST BUYING day of the FY. I am glad, I am exhausted and everyone should be happy they spent $$ on unprogrammed and needless things. FEH!!!!!!!!!!
New tagline courtesy of the Unknown Freeper...
But i prefer them
Down.
Good afternnon Neets, Dogs, All from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA.
Whew, tired I am, moving, bush hogging, spreading dirt, cutting limbs (from the storm), planting some collard greens, busy as a bee.
Just wanted all to know I am still around, tired but around. Toby
Ciao!! Good to see you!!!
Yes. Perhaps this is a coincidence. But I am convinced the RATS will stop at nothing to regain control. I mean nothing including stuffing the ballot box, voting more than once and anything, anything legal or not.
Hi, Toby. I was wondering how y'all fared. We had so little effects of the storm that I'm tempted to say "no damage" but perhaps I've forgotten something.
Our yard is looking better and better all the time. I cleared, with JT, a bunch of brush from under a magnolia tree in the front. It makes a world of difference! Everybody's first thought, including my first thought, was,"now I can climb it again!" It is the best climbing tree I've ever seen.
We had a family picture taken this afternoon. I hope to post it soon. I'm having a little trouble with the transfer from camera to computer. There's always something. But this time, I'm even happy with it.
I'm having trouble with my weight again. I'm sticking to my diet, honest injun, but I'm gaining weight. I'm stepping up my exercise program so we'll see.
Hi, everybody.
Mr. Peach has noticed that FNC has been doing a better job reporting the dirty dealings and double talk coming out of the DNC.
Jemian...you may wish to have your thyroid checked. I was always underweight and found out I had a thyroid problem. It's easy to fix and very common. It can cause you to be overweight or under.
Is it an invasive procedure?
No, no sweetie. It's a drug called synthroid. It's a tiny pill and VERY few (if any) people have side effects.
Unlike most medications, it's been around for years and years and truly, I've never heard of anyone having side effects from it.
I should have said, a simple blood test will determine if you have a thyroid problem.
Freepmail me if you would like any information on this. Everyone in my family takes this medication and I have a book on thyroid stuff I could mail you if you find it's something you have.
Last stats I read said something like 30-40% of the population has thyroid problems; it's not serious. Honest. But it could account for dieting, exercising and not losing weight.
I'll do it. This isn't the first time I've heard this message, but I've wondered if it isn't just an easy excuse for not exercising. I'll check it. I'm so frustrated I've considered those diet pills, like Cortislim.
I'd hate to see you take diet pills, Jemian. They are dangerous and unregulated. Too many people have developed heart arythmia (sp?) and other health problems.
Thyroid problems can cause weight gain and weight loss and it is the weight loss that was a problem in our family. Now that I'm getting older that's far less of a problem, darn it, and I had to learn that I can't eat like I used to.
Most reputable doctors won't give a presciption for synthroid to an overweight person just for a weight problem. The blood test has to be outside the medically recommended levels before the medicine will be prescribed.
You have pointed out the exact reason why I haven't resorted to that. Even when diet pills have been regulated, far too often it is discovered LATER that serious problems are associated with it.
I'm just frustrated. I have picked up my exercise program but so far no success.
Hey Jem.. are you having more sodium (salt) since stateside? Now that you are not in school maybe more nibbling? I hope you can avoid meds..
BTW - I love west virginia.. it is a gorgeous state.
