Pup, here's a pic my friend in Fl sent me yesterday. She took it in Sanibel on one of the main streets. She said it will never be the same in her lifetime. She lived there for ten years and it was her favorite place on earth.

She had to make a visit but it made her sick.

It is sad, gran, that a lovely place like Sanibel had so much damage. I think that here we were protected to a great extent by the elevation above the Gulf, the highest point on the Gulf shore being just a few miles west. Much of the damage nearby was from what appear to have been small tornadoes, formed on the east side of the storm's center.

But we and Sanibel will recover, the earth having a miraculous way of healing itself, especially when aided by people dedicated to making it happen.
