I looked at the State Boards, as you suggested, many thanks. However, I can't figure out how to post on that portion of the site. Have I missed something?? I would love to see if there are any other FReepers in western NY!
Nuclady, to post on the state board, you need to set your location. When you go to the New York state board, you'll see at the top of the page where it says, "set my location." Click on that. That will fly your state flag on your profile page and also allow you to post on the state board.
Darks lives somewhere up there in yankeeland. I pinged you over here because the thread changed.
Perhaps it isn't realistic, but nuking the entire Arab work is starting to sound better all the time. They are barbarians, and evil to the core. As far as I can see, they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and little chance of ever cultivating any. I understand that there are innocent and oppressed people there too, but sometimes you got to weigh the greater good. As long as a single one of these terrorist scum is breathing, the world won't be safe for anyone.
Same thing here. They didn't mention Missouri, but they did say all of northern and eastern Arkansas, western Tennessee and Mississippi were affected. So much for getting my stuff caught up at work before I have to leave for Little Rock in the morning. Our system came back up just shortly before I had to leave.
Got this in my email today:
I'm trying to get all this political stuff straightened out in my head so I'll know how to vote come November. Right now, we have one guy saying one thing. Then the other guy says something else. Who to believe. Lemme
see; have I got this straight?

Ahh, it's so confusing!
I was just reading the thread about the latest beheading, and I am positively sick to my stomach. I can barely breathe, and I have not watched the video.
I couldn't bear to watch such a video. That one human being could do such a thing to another is beyond comprehension to me, which takes me back to my belief that these people are not human, but demon-possessed shells of flesh and blood.
I have to agree. I have thought that since they seized the hostages in Iran in 1979. And, in my childhood days, I remember the psychos in turbans seizing airplanes. And, honestly, we have to tiptoe around and not upset the American Muslims, yet what contribution have they made to American society? Every other culture that is here - I can name at least several ways THEY have bettered society.
Did you ever get to see any of Michelle Malkin last night? She was telling it like it is, but there was so much noise from the dumb*ss protesters outside at times that it was really disruptive. They were so bad that her booksigning was cancelled for security reasons.
Oh, yes, thanks to you I saw her! Was that what happened (the protesters)? I couldn't figure out what was going on. She is just so well-spoken; I would love to meet her.
Die Berkeley-ites. That's exactly why I didn't go to college there.
"New Thread Ping"
Yippee...am I first??
Yes, during her talk, they were rudely making an effort to be as loud and disruptive and possible. She handled it very well, although you could see that she was angry, not so much over their rudeness and being disruptive as over their hypocrisy, which she addressed quite eloquently.
Pretty sunset photo Valerie...but I prefer the ones of you...and, er, how do I say this? Photos of horsies and cows.
Unbelievable.
And what's this I hear about Ivan turning around and going back to Florida. I never heard of a hurricane doing that before.
