Paging Molly Ivans and Maureen Dowd... if it can happen there, it can happen here.
Van Gogh, 47, who received death threats after his recent movie sharply criticized how women are treated under Islam, was repeatedly shot and stabbed to death on an Amsterdam street Tuesday.

Hooray for your rant Gran!
I like your point that one needn't be a religious fanatic to understand and appreciate morals.
Imagine a society with no moral standards or guardians. Civilization itself would crumble.

Paul Begala didnt make his usual Bush cheerleader remark on Crossfire... this is so SWEET!

Kofi is crapping his panties... as he should be.
Annan said through his spokesman that he was "committed to continuing to work with President Bush and his administration on the whole range of issues facing the United Nations and the world."
Does that range of issues include the oil for food scam and nukes for America's enemy's?
To: Darlin'
Begala's hair has receeded 2 more inches since this time yesterday.

"Annan said through his spokesman that he was "committed to continuing to work with President Bush and his administration on the whole range of issues facing the United Nations and the world."Well, Big Deal, it isn't like he has any other options... he'd best be glad our President is a gracious and magnanimous man. Still, that being said, a little serious ole fashioned ...uh... brown nosing might be a good idea on ole Kofi's part.

Kofi is such a criminal, he won't be in his position long. I only hope Clinton's health prevents him from taking over the post. He has always wanted to be emperor of the world.

Trick or Treat

My ultra-lib co-workers were just out in the hall, discussing which country they will move to. I remember they did this four years ago too. They didn't know back then about me, but today they are doing it on purpose to annoy me. Good thing I'm too happy to bite!

We knew this last night right?
I figured it out around 1:00 and was too tired to party.
I'm glad Kerry conceded, pissed that he took so long, pissed that he didn't pledge to work with Bush (what did I expect, magnaminity?), but secretly wished they had tried to continue the anger charade.....it would have angered the conservative base for ten more years at least.
We're buying crab legs (on sale), good wine and celebrating at home tonight.

Speaking of religious fanatic I appreciate Alan Keys personal conviction, but he dose a diservice when he trys to beat people over the head!
Look how far back he set morality with his attitude!
No one is perfect but in many hearts many do strive to live a good life!
Keys forced many to abandone their ideas by over kill!
When Charity is lacking many are excluded meaning very few votes for AK!
GWB honored his convictions as well as allow others to walk their walk according to their abilities!
I think Keys could learn from GWB!
