Speaking of blue pills, I am very tempted to take one, but I am on call tonight, and it would be awful if I got called out after taking a blue pill.

Hmmmm, perhaps I should go to the doctor before election day! I definitely need to go to the liquor store before then! Good thing I took the day off. Of course, I'm working the polls, so I will have to hit all the blue stuff AFTER. I'm sure I will need it by then. On the upside, I won't be on call.

Actually, it isn't the light color anyway, that causes florescents to be bad for your eyes. It's the flickering. Computer monitors also flicker.
Most recent ones you can set the flicker or refresh rate high enough it won't bother you.

Yeah, you're right. What about the LCD monitors?

Speaking of blue and white pills...I know not what you are referring to, really. But, I do think you are referring to sedatives, and I have a question.
Are dentists allowed to prescribe sedatives for patients? I have developed this fear of choking and being short of breath in a dental chair. In fact, I have not been in for work in over a year because of this fear. It is irrational, I know, but I have it, nonetheless.
I am wondering if the dentist, who I have had for thirty years, is allowed to give a short lasting sedative. I have an aversion to asking him this because he might think I was a druggie.
To: sweetliberty
I think they flicker too. If you can set the refresh rate to 72 or above it generally isn't noticable. What is horrible is if you are stuck witrh a 60hz monitor that flickers at the same rate as the flourescents.

Yes, he can, and/or a tranquilizer to take in advance. If he didn't have a narcotics license he couldn't prescribe pain meds, and I never saw a dentist that couldn't.

Smooch...and thank you. I may just admit to him my fear and see what he can do to help me.
To: Conservababe
I believe that dentists can prescribe medications as needed. I have had them prescribe narcotics, so I would think they could also prescribe a sedative if needed. You might want to ask ahead though, because it isn't going to do you much good if the dentist doesn't have it on tap when it is needed.
