I applied for an enviro tech job in NY last December... but I don't think I would have lasted more than two winters. They ended up cancelling the job anyway.

Correct-a-mundo about the HUGE ships. The Commodore Line out of NO, that sails about 800 people is much more preferable than the 3000 or so that Carnival sails. My mother enjoys the small ships with 50 to 150 passengers. They are usually shallow draft enough to get into ports the regular cruise ships can't get to.
