Great pics. I notice the white baby shoes. Every baby had to have a pair and then we had them bronzed.
Morning BQ... It's finally nice to be here when you are and say "Hello".
It's great to have you livening up the thread. Stick around, and keep us hopping..
Good morning - nice to meet you too! Thank you - you are so sweet, and I am so happy with my new "gang". I am working phone banks tonight for W, so had to get my daily FReeper fix this morning :)
Morning Babe,
All my kids wore white shoes.. Still don't like dark shoes on babies.. ;) I don't like dark clothes on them too early either. They are only babies just so long, and I love to prolong it in their looks, especially little girls.
Guess I'm still old-fashioned that way.
Well good for you. I was just telling my husband, Al, that we should get a Bush/Cheney sign for the house. Our neighbors are starting to put them out.
I haven't seen any Kerry ones around yet, which is a good sign. I suppose if I go to the "big" city I would find plenty of them.;)
Oh my Gooooness Loddy, he still looked like a dork even then.
Poor La-oooooser..
I love the pictures on your home page too - what a beautiful place you have (I forgot to tell you earlier).
The signs just arrived in town two days ago, so we and all the neighbors put them up. (I posted a photo you might have seen way back on this thread.) We are on the conservative side of town - the most Repubs, the most gun owners, churches, families, no rainbow flags, etc. A Kerry sign only here and there...
I don't drive west of a certain street too much, or I'd worry about the oval W sticker on my truck. I've had that on for awhile, and it's always funny to see liberals behind me. Their faces scrunch up in disgust when they see the sticker.
grannie, do you still have that pic on file of Westy on the beach? You did it with your posers.
And in cloth diapers, too. Oh, how well I remember all the work laundering them.
From the way he's holding the ax, he's been a fakir from way, way back.
Oddly, there are no national political signs on our little street - not exactly sure what it means, if anything.
Grannie! Steve was born in front of your apartment? Didn't you make it to the hospital in time?!!
Nice pic.
From my small town newspaper today......
If the election were held today, which presidential candidate would you vote for?
George W. Bush: 70.7% (416 votes)
John Kerry: 26.9% (158 votes)
Third-party candidate: 2.4% (14 votes)
588 votes cast.
Oh my gosh! I want to move to your town, and work where Lakeshark works; that would be nirvana.
OMG...there is a snake on my deck. It is little, but I think it is a cottonmouth. I called my hubby to come home!
I love snakes! You're not worried, are you?
You need some of those snakeshot cartridges for your .357 revolver. That'll take care of the snake!
The Cottonmouth snake is related to the copperhead but more dangerous. Venom is highly toxic with severe tissue destruction. Bites are fairly frequent in the southern United States. Color dark or nearly black, especially in adult of the species. There is a clear difference in the appearance of adult cottonmouths and juvenile snakes of the species. Average length 3½ feet, maximum length 6 feet.
"Lookalikes include several types of water snakes and black racers, which are often reported as cottonmouths. Urban legends about "nests full of cottonmouths" dont jibe with their solitary habits. If you hear a report of a "whole nest of cottonmouths" clustered in one place, theyre much more likely to be water snakes.
Cottonmouths are one of the easiest venomous species to handle with hook or tongs. They have a reputation for being aggressive, but zookeepers and snake experts consider them docile and slow moving. They are often unafraid and very curious. Cottonmouths can be safely captured using a broom or mop and a tipped-over garbage can."
Well, get over here and capture it and take it home with you. I'm hoping hubby will get here soon and kill it. It is between me and the garage door where I keep my pellet gun.
