Oh, that sounds neat; I haven't been there. I liked the Frankoma Pottery factory.

Thinking back on it, she may have been joking.
I'll see if I can dig it up in the morning.

I've travelled throughout Baja, backpacked alone in Oaxaca, and have gone all over the country into non-tourist areas.

Well, you and Westy should get along just fine if you like the Baja. Why anyone would love that area is beyond me, though. LOL

Fort Sill was and remains the home of Field Artillery.
At the time, Fort Sill was called an 'open post', and anyone could drive in and see the place.
I'm assuming that has changed since then due to 9/11 and security being a necessary evil.

Yes, that sounds good; I wanna go with westmex! (I didn't mean to sound like I hate the country or anything, only the damage going on here.) Really, Conservababe, you don't like BC? I think my favorite parts of Mexico are the Pinacates, Copper Canyon, Alamos, and anywhere the boojums grown in Baja.

Ft. Huachuca in the Huachuca Mts. (Sierra Vista, AZ) is kind of a neat military base with some old buildings, and it's still open to the public. My favorite historic forts are Ft. McHenry (Baltimore) and Ft. Point (SF).

I have never been west of Ft Worth, Texas, actually. But, I have no desire to camp in a godforsaken place without tall green trees...thank you very much. LOL

If you go to the Fox News website, you will see a photo of her wearing tinted glasses and a caped hood, covering her hair. She should have left the hood up.

I can't even stand to look at her; she is so unkempt. I would not be able to take anymore freak shows in the White House after eight years of two who hated each other (although even they combed their hair).

Okay, I might, just might. But, I would not want to have to carry potable water for a hundred miles just to sit under a ten foot shade tree.

oh, good, I thought you were mad at me. Sensitive BQ. We took the train and then hiked about half way down. I've never seen anything like it. Not only the splendor of the canyon, but people still live like the Anasazi used to. So incredible. Whenever it gets too hectic here, I wish I could join them in one of their caves, accessible only by narrow ladders.
