One inherits a ketchup fortune. You're welcome.
I saw on one of the earthquake threads that celtic gal was getting the van ready in case they had to leave, but that they were otherwise OK. Didn't feel it at all here - we're quite a bit north, east of San Francisco.
Well, people drinking my coffee tend to become very open to suggestion.
It seems to me that a major quake was predicted for California at the end of this month --- this one ought to count.
This one I will post:
I'm on the next plane.
At least it wasn't this one:

No, I won't post it outright either.
For obvious reasons once you see it.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
Checking in..ok here. You can blame me for the quake..I was dusting some cobwebs I noticed in the computer room and thought as I looked at the wall there was a little crack I hadn't noticed before and thought it must be from the last one..
Word here is that the quake was about 7.9KM deep and we have had 80 aftershocks so far but damage is minimal. There was a car accident on one of the the highways and rocks are fallen.
Here it was well felt at our house. Unlike last time, I lost my balance and heard a crack and the chadnliers were swining and the prisims were swinging wildly in the window.
We were just getting to a point where we could breathe easy again and we got a 6.0/
There was a man..some sort of scientist, that called into the radio station and gave us something more to worry about....that Parkfield has always been well monitored more than any other earthquake location out here and that the quakes along that fault line were on average every 20 years and we are at least 5 years past due..so in his opinion we could have a really big one in the next week or two. I hope he is wrong. In the meantime..I have an appt for a hair cut and then I am off to the home deopt to get a better bin for putting our goodies that we need to get out of the house.
People have made fun of me for having a big Sienna (2004) and at the same time Ozzie has a big Chevy TrailBlazer..makes it worthwhile when you think about packing it up when the time permits..
We can't live like that every day but when there is the time to get the special things out of the house..big vans and trucks are kinda nice....
I agree though the quake predicted was for Riverside area.
I was forced to tak emy hat off for the pic, I usually wore a booney hat since I like them, andthen out came the camera and an evil grin.
I hate having my pic taken, I really hate it.
Last time was scarier..the 6.5 one..we were without power then for 13 hours. But this one was on the San Andreas fault line. Last time I saw the ground actually rise..and that one sounded like airplanes that just held over the house. This one sounded like a big crack.
My Taco slept through this one just like Missie did. Me need to get the museum wax and get things bolted to the walls...
I don't think we ever get used to these things. The only damage around these parts is to the nerves again...
I love the hiking in the parking lot one.
That was taken in 90 degree heat, and I was trying to avoid having my pic taken.
I was very unsuccessful in my endeavor.
That wasn't litter Val.. it was a boat, but thanks anyway..
With all the artsy folks around here...oh well, I'm not giving anyone else my ideas...Thanks! I really needed to see your legs again, love. But you gotta 'splain the other pic. Where did you get those duds?
grannie, I was wondering why Val didn't like the little boat. Maybe she needs some glasses, too? LOL
The bicycling gear one?
I'd been out bicycling.
Those are euphemistically called the 'crossword puzzle' bike shorts and shirt.
(I hate them, would have preferred the blue VW team set..)
*LOL* A Boat! I thought it was a styrofoam food container.... sheeeesh! I need to get to the ocean again soon!
Your monitor must suck.
