I stupidly clicked on a link to Debka a few hours ago. Never really got there. My computer rebooted automatically and seemed a bit hosed when it came back up, so I restarted again.
Zone Alarm was back at stage one. Every program was a first time internet access. I had to re-grant permission for IE to go online.
I´m wondering if my setup is secure or if Debka dumped something sinister on me.
Everything seems to be OK now, but I wonder.
Please advise if you have some experience with them.
Don´t ever, ever go to Debka !
no more than usual ... but you got the pertinent answer to your question, and Debka is only second to Miss Cleo on the scale of (a) number of predictions, and (b) number of predictions that don't pan out (in fact Miss Cleo might have a better record on succesful predictions).

When someone posts a link that craps-out my computer, I think it is breaking news for everyone here.

Sounds like your current MS/OS, *farted*. Been to Debka-trash-garbage-lies-junk-scum-filth, on fact-check missions, and WIN XP Pro hasn't ever reacted that way.
Shoot your monitor and box w/ .45cal ACP ammo, liberally in center mass. That oughta fix it.

I clicked on a link here at FR, my computer rebooted and acted strangely afterwards. I was concerned that the link was dangerous.
I asked for help and also warned others.
I got flamed ! By several. Cussed and threatened by one.
What should I think about this place ?
Is it safe to bring my children here ? No way ! I can answer that one, easy.
There might have been an animated gif or java on debeka that might have set off zone alarm. There's nothing there that's dangerous. Just the news.
