Yes, I'll pass on whatever she says if she replies. I explained that there were several of us, with questions regarding the mares, how she got them, why they are being released, etc.

This rancher has been in the appy biz since 1965, and pmu for about the past 15 years. He lost his contract about 18 months ago and is gradually getting rid of about 400 of his 500 broodmares. A phase down.....

We have been helping for the past few months. We were at a sale that he had at the ranch in June, most of the horses went for meat. It was heartbreaking and were moved to help him.

The Animali Farm has been working with pmu foals for about 6 years. We had not purchased horses from the appy ranch until this year. Primarily we were interested in draft crosses. The situation is just so desperate with the appys that we wanted to help.
