Young Guns is another hysterical movie.
Did you see the size of that chicken??
I don't unless they have a serious case of thrush. Copper-Tox is the big guns, I usually use Thrush Remedy, it's not so strong. (and it doesn't stain or stink as bad, either)
It stinks awful, and is the worst case for Kermit the Frog green! :-D We used to use it now and again to seal the horses's feet if it was really really wet and muddy for a long period of time.
Ouch.
I bought a bareback pad from a lady in Canada and I was fussing about it being 45 degrees here. She said it was 20 below with a wind chill that took it down to about 40 below. Boy, did I feel stupid.
You can't get rid of that smell, either. When I've used it before then had to leave to pick my kids up from school, they always knew the minute they got in the car what I'd been doing.
I don't think that we get to 40 below but it will drop 10 to 15 below sometimes. Last winter was pretty bad with the windchill. The temp. frequently dropped below zero. I hope that it's warmer this year. I'd say it's in the low 50s to mid 40s right now. Supposed to be in the 60s through thanksgiving. I'll be going up to Maine on Friday, and I'll bring back pictures. They probably have snow. We got some last week or the week before, but it's gone now.
It'll eat a hole in your clothes too!
I like to use just plain ol' iodine or bleach.
Maybe it was something else, but I always assumed that was what it was. Something ate a hole in my pants!
Grace is beautiful, course they all are. That area is gorgeous too.
I just got an email requesting permission to use the pictures of some of my horses on my website in a game - Hurricane Farms SIM Horse Club. Has anyone heard of this game or know what it's about? Their website is http://hfshc.com but all I find out there is that it's closed to new members.
Sounds strange, doesnt' it?
Becky
Bob the biter:), is beautiful. Is he a roan or a gray?
Becky
If we don't get some sun here soon...
:)
Becky
Decidedly strange :)
I have a horse pasture in the California foothills 50 miles
east of Sacramento. Anyone have any experience with horses
eating acorns? It's a big problem here because we've had drought conditions and all the grass has been eaten off the
pasture.
This looks like a great game for young people.

I wish I could help you but I never have had horses eat acorns that I know of. When I lived in NC there were a lot of black jack oaks with acorns all over but always had plenty of grass.
I do think deer eat them but I don't know. Don't they have a lot of tanic acid?
It's ceramic tile in the kitchen. My SIL is laying it down for me (got to get rent out of them somehow). Carpet would not be as hard to tear up, as the linoleum was. I thought of wood, but with 2 dogs, 6 cats, and 5 people in this house, I thought better of it. I think they know me on a first name basis at Home Depot..lol With the winter weather coming, it's a good time to get those inside projects done.
