Oklahoma cops pop "Home Alone" star for pot, pill possession

SEPTEMBER 17--In a week that has already included news about the arrests of former child stars Tracey Gold and Edward Furlong, comes word from Oklahoma that Macaulay Culkin was popped this afternoon on drug charges. The 24-year-old actor, best known for starring in the "Home Alone" movies, was nabbed for possession of marijuana and a "controlled dangerous substance" for which he did not have a prescription. A bleary-eyed Culkin is pictured below in an Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office mug shot. Arrested following a traffic stop, Culkin was jailed on $4,000 bond.

Why are we still busting people for pot? Hard stuff I can understand but pot is a joke Treat it like booze

Great question and observation.

The sooner the petty Drug War Fascists end their Tyranny, the better.

Jails and prisons are for REAL criminals, not people who happen to possess the wrong plant against the Edict of the State...

One I can think of that grew up to still hold his looks is Fred Savage

He was in Moose Port (with Gene Hackman and Ray Ramono)he was hilarious. I imagine it all comes down to parental involvement.

Is McCauley's nose crooked? What is he doing in Oklahoma? I loved OKC, lived there for 20 years.

Okay, I thought you did a great job on this, then all of a sudden I saw the pills on his tongue. LMAO. Nice attention to detail.

In his mugshot he looks like he could get a part in deliverance II playing banjo on a bridge.

FYI - One that survived it is former actor Michael Burns (Wagon Train). He became a college professor and recently retired to a farm in Kentucky.

Treat it [marijuana] like booze.

Apparently they did. He was arrested after a traffic stop.

How do you figure that? There's no mention of driving under the influence being charged.

So if I get stopped by a cop who finds a case of Budweiser in my car, I should go to jail?

This seems to be too common. It wasn't all that long ago that River Phoenix died of an OD.

Perhaps it's an indication that when you are fabulously overpaid and showered with adulation and adoration all over the world essentially because you are either rather good at pretending you're someone you aren't or you are related to someone who has demonstrated such an ability in a saleable way, that eventually the shallow lie that is your life becomes just a bit too much to bear and you seek an escape from it. It must be difficult, sometimes, for people to come to the realization that they haven't truly DONE anything with their life other than perhaps being someone who has found a saleable signature phrase, has a particular glint in their eye or something equally vacuous.

Sorry, I'll stop my rant :-)

Poor child. His parents really screwed him up, just like the Jacksons did theirs. No wonder Macauley and Michael liked each other so much... which certainly has not helped Macauley. I hope the other Culkin kids are better grounded.
