LOL I was just reading over at DU(hail mary full of grace....) and many of there members arent sure either about this new evidence they have against the President, many of them are there military members complaining, of course there non-military members are having orgasms.

That's why I'm glad their new ads are ready to run... they'll get a day of air just to get it into the cycle.. the DNC talking heads have their scripts... and their argument is shot down in a single simple rebuttal.

If Kerry had any class at all, he would say, "We honor President Bush for his service in the Air National Guard."

Which reminds me. Bush was flying combat patrol missions that were important in defending from foreign attack. Has everyone forgotten?

In the Cuban missile crises we faced a very real prospect of nuclear armed Russian bombers attacking out of Cuba as well as a ground invasion. I remember seeing trains of military equipment headed toward the coast. Extra gas tanks were installed on the school buses in my district and we had special drills at school. I accompanied my father, who was the regular AF officer over the Air Force Reserves in Texas to pick up urgent messages at night at Barksdale AFB several times.

And in the 1980s we had a little war over a runway being expanded to accommodate Russian long range bombers in Grenada.

The 70s were rife with Russian presence in South America.

The planes Bush flew were specially designed and purchased for defending against attack, and they were deployed where the military felt they were most needed. President Bush was performing a very real and very important military mission.

According to federal law (specifically, 1062(d) of title 10 of the U.S. Code):

"The Air Force consists of -

"(1) the Regular Air Force, the Air National Guard of the United States, the Air National Guard while in the service of the United States, and the Air Force Reserve;

There are at least 13 references to President Bush's service in the Air Force Reserve within (President Bush's Enlistment Package from USA Today).

References can be found on pages 5,6,8,9,10,12,13,16,21,and 23 (I have annotated them on this version).

The two most relevant ones are probably page 13 which shows his enlistment in the Air Force Reserve, and Page 8 which shows his Honorable Discharge from the Air Force Reserve.
