Isn't that great?!
If you don't read The Bleat, you should.
He's a very entertaining writer with witty
outlook on an incredible array of topics.

Thanks again for another great link, it's been added to my favorites!
Is it 3:00 yet? We're expecting a new A/C unit, ours went kaput on Sunday, *sweat, sweat, sweat!* You know you're getting old when, you could have sworn that we bought a new one of those 3 or 4 years ago and then you finally find the receipt for the dang thing and it's dated 1993! Did I mention I'm sweaty? :-)

GWB getting a wonderful response from Natl. Guard Conf.! A really big response when he said he was proud to be a member of the Guard. :-)

I was a kid during the Vietnam years, but even then I could grasp the notion that National Guardsmen still were part of the U.S. Armed Forces, were subject to being called overseas to combat duty, and deserved our respect for their service. Why is this so difficult for a former Navy Reservist like Kerry to understand?
To: mountaineer
To some of us here, you're still a kid.
Enjoy it.

I hope you're cool by now. My sister built her house 5 years ago and their AC unit went kaput last month! Ouch! Mine, now, that's a different story. It's been doing its thing for over 30 years. I'm kind of hoping just one little tree does fall...on the A/C unit. I wouldn't mind replacing that sucker.
Saw the part of GW's speech that was on Fox...I think they liked him! Can't wait to see the response to Effin tomorrow.
The news is saying traffic is at a standstill leaving Mobile. So, I think my 4am depart time is sounding better. T.

Great photos of Effin trying to endure his few minutes in the 'hood.
Looking at pans of soul food: "Gawd, this will give me such indigestion! And what is this green stuff? I can't get back to the hotel for a Pepto and filet mignon fast enough!"
Of the person who dared to get close to him: "Oh drat, he's touching me! What the f*** does he think he's doing? Doesn't he know who I am?"
Looking at basketball: "I say, my good man, what exactly is this spherical object and what, pray tell, does one do with it? You know, it reminds me of the giant lethal bullets fired at me in Vietnam, but I don't suppose you people know anything about Vietnam."
To: mountaineer
Lol, your captions are great...
Here is another one which says in its caption that this is a hug......
To: daisyscarlett
Ah yes, the infamous one-handed, arms-length hug. My goodness, he appears to be outside of his comfort zone, doesn't he? :)

I'm guessing Effin's "context" for dealing with persons of color is ordering them to make sure his wingtips are extra shiny this time. Eating greens and ribs with them is quite another matter.

We know he understands, the question is, why does this duplicitous reprobate think he can get away with calling people who enlisted in the Guard cowards and deserters?
I'd like to ask Kerry, Navy Reservist, who took your place when you bugged out after four months?

It's been doing its thing for over 30 years.Gee, wish I had asked you what brand you have.
Yes, we're nice and icey now, as I sit here in a sweater. :-) Yea!!
Too bad the news channels didn't let us see the entire GWB speech.
Good luck getting out of town, hope there's a computer where you're going so we can hear from you.
CBS will issue a statement on Docufuffle at noon today. Will they admit the were duped? LOL!
