Thanks to a special invitation from Jim Robinson (Free Republic's founder), World Ahead Publishing is pleased to present Aman Verjee and Rod D. Martin, the editors of "Thank You, President Bush: Reflections on the War on Terror, Defense of the Family, and Revival of the Economy"
Mr. Verjee and Mr. Martin are excited to be here to answer your questions and chat with the Free Republic community. They'll be discussing the reasons they created "Thank You, President Bush," why so many conservative legends (such as Shlafly, Meese, Norquist, and Dobson) were eager to work with them on this book, what it was like being at the Republican Convention to unveil their new title, and anything else that you are interested to know.
So don't be shy - post a greeting to Aman and Rod and learn more about what went into their landmark new book!
ABOUT THE EDITORS
Aman Verjee is the co-editor of Thank You, President Bush (World Ahead Publishing). A Muslim born in Kenya and raised in Canada, Mr. Verjee is the co-founder of "American Thunder," a leading NASCAR magazine, and currently serves as the director of strategy for a Silicon Valley company. He studied public policy at Stanford University and traded bonds on Wall Street before obtaining a degree from Harvard Law School.
Rod D. Martin is also a co-editor of Thank You, President Bush. A conservative Christian from Little Rock, Arkansas, Mr. Martin is Chairman of Vanguard PAC and the author of the political column "Vanguard of the Revolution." He previously served as the Director of Policy Planning & Research for Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee. Mr. Martin studied at Cambridge University and was elected student body president at Baylor Law School.
How does one tell a peaceful Muslim from one willing to massacre a gymnasium full of children, or from one willing to fly planes into office buildings?
Hi Rod, Aman--Question: How did ya'll meet people like Grover Norquist and Phyllis Schafly?
welcome!
Like your title of the BOOK!
It's good to be here! I'm looking forward to everyone's questions!
Rod Martin
Welcome to Free Republic!
I can't wait to read your book!
Did you get near Zell while he was speaking???? :)
I'm here and ready to listen.....
Hi Phreedom Phighter!
Most of these folks are people I've known for a long time, and ditto Aman for a certain overlap plus all of the rest. But I have to say, virtually everyone we dealt with getting this together was excited, enthused, and (believe it or not) on time. And it was great having a bunch of folks turn out entertaining, solid stuff for the cause and not for pay.

Mr. Martin,
What can we do to elect President Bush and other conservatives in this upcoming election?
Zell was wonderful. I wish we had him in the book. :)
what do you think of the Swift Boat fellows? I love 'em!
I love these kind of books....Is Zell really like he appears on TV? He seems to truely believe in President Bush. Why did he campaign so hard against his father?
Do you know Jack Wheeler personally? He's like the model for the real Indian Jones.
Plenty of Muslims, like most Christians, believe in the peaceful resolution of political problems, and the religion itself preaches the basic value of human life. There are, of course, fanatics who have twisted the religion (at least, what the religion means to 99.9% of Muslims), but I shouldn't have to tell you that that's not a fair representation of Islam.
Also, our editor has generously offered to REWARD the first TEN posters with FREE COPIES of "THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH."
So don't be shy with the posts!
You know, it sounds trite, but the most important thing to do is actually show up and vote. Let me give you an example: there are 60 million Evangelical Christians in this country -- virtually all of whom vote conservative given the chance -- but of whom only 15 million actually show up. These folks could make the revolution all by themselves. So it's all about turnout, or more precisely, our organizing our people such that we turn out more of our base than the other side does. This approach, by the way, also tends to make for purer candidates and starker choices, which certainly works in conservatives' favor.
'And it was great having a bunch of folks turn out entertaining, solid stuff for the cause and not for pay.'
Is the money for the books going to the RNC, charity????
Who are they?,Where are they?
As a matter of fact, Jack Wheeler is a good friend of mine and serves on the board of my Vanguard PAC (http://www.VanguardPAC.org). And he wrote by far the most entertaining chapter in the book.
The authors all volunteered. The publisher makes the money. :)
