Sing, Muse, of your meteoric ascent from a seething pit of pure, all-American white trash.
Sing, also, of five-figure fees for one evening's striptease, and of six-figure film contracts for the company you built.
Sing of rape and addiction and suicide, of thieves and junkies and lies, of vodka, Vicodin, and crystal meth.
But most of all, sing of Sex.
The muse invoked here is, of course, porn goddess Jenna Jameson (formerly Massoli), the star of countless adult films, magazines, and strip clubs -- and CEO of ClubJenna Inc., her film production and online licensing company.
"How To Make Love Like A Porn Star" is her latest product, an autobiography in the form of a rant interspersed with detritus from her life's ricochets, including a sample adult film contract, entries from her diary, comics, and the sprawling transcript from a recent family reunion (which reads like a police blotter).
(snip)
Jameson now sits atop a multimedia company which sells hundreds of thousands of copies of films it produces and innumerable downloads of video clips. She manages over a dozen porn stars. Her club appearances earn her up to $25,000 per show.
And yes, she is married (to producer Jay Grdina) and looks forward to retirement and motherhood, now both comfortably within reach.
So sing, Muse, of a messed-up kid from a ditch on the wrong side of the tracks who climbed to the top of a $3 billion industry, using only the power of her ambition and body.
Sing, Muse, of the glory of America.

I was looking for the pictures . . .
E)They had multiple families and died in a horrible accident where the wives were thrown together and found out about each other.
At least I'm guessing...can't make it thru 15 minutes of any of their drivel.
The nannies have flocked to this thread like Bill O'Reilly to a teen sex scandal.
Thank you. People keep saying that porn is a $3 billion, or $8 billion or $10 billion dollar industry.
Let's say that it's $10 billion, or $100 per household per year.
In my experience in the post-college pre-marriage days, there were guys who might rent a porn every once in a while or buy a magazine from time to time, guys who abstained completely, and one or two guys who had 500+ DVD libraries and zip drives full of material.
Not every household is spending $100 or even $1 annually on porn, but some are spending several thousand.
See post 46. ;)
I get the feeling that Jenna is an incest victim.
It is a combination of things. Her father and brother's interviews and how they talk about her sexually as if they are talking about her when she had pigtails and braces.
Her public behaviors which are narcissitic to the extreme. Her attitudes towards sex which borders on no borders at all. Like there is nothing wrong with introducing young teens to sexual videos etc.
Part of me feels sorry for her because I do believe her head (and body) were screwed with at an early age.
Part of me wants to slap her into next week. As a woman, she makes life really, really, REALLY difficult for the average woman, sorta like soap opera guys set up unrealist expectations for the average guy.
Nope, the average girl doesn't shower with 4 other chicks on a daily basis, have FFF hooters and have an orgasm in less than 30 seconds.
As a fantasy, she is pretty much what I would expect. But as a RL woman, she is empty and vapid.
Like others have said, I pity any child that is damned in having her as a mother.
What a sad public admission FRiend...
But oh, what a happy world it would be...
Everybody has a dark side. A side that has doors best left unopenned.
Porn stimulates the sadistic side of a man's personality. It brings out the side of him that degrades and exploits and expects immediate gratification of his wishes. Consumption of porn will not make you a better person. It will make you a worse one.
I figure ~$140 (four DVDs at about $35 each). I like action, so magazines just don't cut it.
There's porn stars like Jenna, whose entire life revolves around porn, and there are people who run a porn site from home to make extra money. I don't think it's likely that I would ever need Jenna to take care of my kids. However, I'm pretty sure at one point or another, there's a good chance that a kid will have been taught by or taken care of someone (whether a teacher, babysitter, day-care worker or nurse) who is somehow involved in an aspect of the sex industry.

So I'm not entitled to an opinion on whether she should have children or not?
It's not our business to say who can or can't have children, is it? How presumptuous do we care to be? Honestly, many of us here on FR hate the Left because the Left thinks the government can run our lives better than we can. But here on FR, people are all too willing to tell others how to best conduct their lives. If we're going to mock the "for the children" crowd on the left, we look pretty stupid, in my opinion, if we champion the tongue-clucker crowd here on the right.
OK--I think we're verging on the "too much information" realm here. We hardly even know each other...
Why? It works for them. What is wrong with enjoying oneself?
Maybe you don't do your background checks the way I do.
The chick ain't bad looking either.
