Mark Morford is slapping himself and yelling "Why didn't I think of this?!"

The article says something about this guy having "spent time on the pipe". Perhaps Missy Morford can clue us in about what exactly this entails - it's a concept I'm totally unfamiliar with. Probably a good thing, too.
