Some wisdom in that stance, imho.
You're absolutely right. Even W was downplaying the polls at his stop in Cleveland today.
We're gonna win it though. W will win by 9 pts and 330 EVs, and Thune will narrowly defeat Dasshole as well.
We're energized! No letting up.
I think you have a better chance of snowballing into a landslide if you keep talking landslide. There are a lot of voters who want to vote for the one who is going to win. Convince them that Bush has it in the bag, and you have their votes.
I don't think any Republicans are going to get complacent.
I agree with ur sentiments. Remember, the Dems are masters at getting the vote out. They do thier best work in this regard from the final weekend through election day.
>>I, like most of you are as bumped as I have ever been,<<
I'm not even going there----
Welcome to FR(I think).
From the Art of War (paraphrased and from very late night memory):
When you are strong, act as though you are weak. Build your army as though your advisary is ten times your size.
I want all 50 states come November :0)
I want to send a message to every dang liberal
I understand the premise you are adopting, but I heard an interesting comment yesterday. Bush has taken a nice lead. At this point he doesn't need to press. If he just plans out things so he can come off looking Presidential, confident and full of substance, Kerry will have one hell of a time catching up.
Coming out and campaigning every day might actually have some negative aspects. Don't look like you're press. Act relaxed and as though you didn't have a worry in the world.
Let Kerry press. In fact encourage him to. The look of desparation will do him in.
I hear what you are saying, and we can support Bush in positive ways, but let Kerry do the cramming and we'll just go positive. We've got a great product and the public knows it.
Even though I was happy to see the bounce, it has it's drawbacks as well. Supporters may get over confident and the media will go overboard when things start evening out again. Once again, President Bush can't win. When it's good news it's bad, when it's bad news, it's bad.
Perfect headline, correct attitude. Dracula ain't dead until the stake is through his heart and the November 3 sunrise has incinerated his bony corpse.
Welcome to Free Republic. Your right that we need to stay energized, but I'm still going to enjoy the recent boost in confidence.
P.S. Let's not forget the dirty tricks that will be played at the end as well. You know they've got something up their sleeve.
My what a very deceptive headline you have. /Little Red Riding Hood
Oh the anger at being deceived!
We will never sit on a lead. It is full boards until november baby.
Even if THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS RED in the AOL Poll

No offense, but this is an oft-repeated bit of drivel.
People who are ten points down get desperate.
We should be behaving as if there were NO polls. Do what W has been doing, just plowing straight ahead, getting the work done.
The specter at the table posts are the ones I like the least around here, and not just because they're so obvious, but that they grow like mushrooms. Everyone who wants to be "different" posts a "Come on, folks, let's be real here" post.
Just keep the eye on election day and move forward. When you're down by ten points you act like Kerry is acting now--not exactly a prescription for success.
But if you are ahead and want to build a BIGGER lead, your joy and excitement gets contageous.
So, in brief: No thanks.
