What if another terrorist attack was to occur and the death toll and destruction made 9/11 pale in comparison, like a nuclear bomb going off in some major city?
Whoa.....I hadn't thought about that possibility before... </ sarc>
That would be a bad thing
I don't know..would they blame President Bush..or would the country rally behind him..like they did the impeached one when all that happened was that he cheated on his corrupt wife and lied about it in front of a federal judge??????
After a trillion news episodes on this topic in the past couple of years i can say i'd rather not think about it now or ever again. I could walk outside my house and fall down and have a heart attack doesn't mean i need to sit here and philosophically think it over. We've been taking it to THEM before they come at US - President Bush's Mission precisely why we haven't had a terror attack inside our borders in 3 years in spite of 100% chance predicitons from virtually every single journalist and analyst]
If its proven the Muslims di it...there will be no saving them this time.
They would love to hit us around election day or during the inauguration.
And your reason for speculating is....?
WND POLL
How do we win the war on terror?
Put political correctness aside and use whatever resources, power and methods we have to find and kill terrorists 71.28% (4343)
Continue the course set by President Bush but kick it up a notch 12.49% (761)
Allow every adult, non-felon, U.S. citizen to be armed at all times 9.50% (579)
Continue the course set by President Bush 2.69% (164)
Other 1.66% (101)
Form an alliance with Russia to fight our mutual enemy, whatever label it wears 1.07% (65)
Examine our own consciences to understand what we've done to provoke these people to hate us 1.03% (63)
Elect John Kerry 0.23% (14)
Turn the task over to the U.N. 0.03% (2)
Let bygones be bygones and begin negotiations 0.02% (1)
If I were a terrorist I would be partial to "1/23" because it's catchy and a little different than "9/11". Of course they could shake things up and go with "3/21". 3/21 would be good if it were going to be nuclear explosion (3...2...1.. boom...get it?)
So if I were you I would be very careful about going anywhere on 1/23 or 3/21.
I remember Tommy Franks saying if another massive terrorist attack occurs, say good bye to the Constitution.
In reality, I can't begin to imagine what these scumbag terrorist think they are going to get from us.
Do they think we will wake up one day and say... OK, we give in...you guys come over and run our country...No of course not...someone is going to push us too far and we are going to snap...we'll round up every Muslim and deport them (at least those few that might survived all the vigilantes that will be taking matters into their own hands) and we will form an elite group of 400,000 fighting men whose soul purpose is to go and find these scumbags and just kill them...wherever they are.
And perhaps Riyadh and Damascus, too.
The Muslims would learn the horrifying reality of thermonuclear genocide.
They don't want anything FROM us. They simply want to DESTROY Western Civilization. Nuke a port or two and global trade shuts down for years resulting in depression unlike anything ever seen before. Unemployment at 25% or more. Closed borders. Mass deportations. As Franks says, the loss of the America we know and love. It's pretty ugly to contemplate.
But this will never happen. America is strong...there will be major setbacks no doubt, but are not losing to these scumbags...we love our freedom too much.
I don't think a hippie trash A.N.S.W.E.R. monkey would have much of a prayer....
9/11 was the first BIG wake up call to this country. It will never be forgotten. The next "9/11"? We are more prepared for it and the perpetrators will face a tougher more resilient American Populace. The next 9/11 will met with such an overwhelming force as to make the liberation of Afghanistan and Iraq look like a picnic.
