I've been challenged

I was challenged on another debate board to name 10 positive things about the USA by a couple of folks who belong to the America is the Root of Evil cult. I posted the Bill of Rights and the Preamble to the Declaration of Independance to tweek them. However I know they'll come back at me to name some specific facts.
I challenge the Freepers to help me collect 50 things I can post, with links to the data if possible, which demonstrate why this country is Number 1. I would like to post them by Labor Day if possible.
Please send your suggestions to mcmikexx@yahoo.com Thanks.

Ask them for 10 names of their members.
Then tell them they are lucky to be alive thanks to America.

How about the fact that we actually tolerate scumbags like them instead of executing them like Saddam would have ?

Great link!
I've bookmarked it to have handy and ready.
With some work, I could (OK, might) have come up with the list, but not so well reasoned and organized.
This should be required reading in every school in the USA. Over and over.

How about starting with the fact that they can ask you that question without getting a visit from the secret police the next day? It's the old things are so bad they've run out of bullets joke, which pres #40 told at a public meeting with Gorbachev.

Anyone who needs help in such a simple task as coming up with ten positive items about USA must be a troll -- wouldn't you think?

To what other country can a penniless immigrant who doesn't speak the language come, and 1) go into business; 2) make millions of dollars; 3) become a citizen; and 4) achieve high elective office?
Arnold Schwarzenegger did all of these things. I very much doubt an American in Austria would be able to do the same.

Ask the dumbies why their hero George Soros, a billionaire who says he hates America lives here.
He's got enough money to live on his own island or even country, yet he lives in the USA.
If someone can't see the real true great and honest core of this country and our citizens, I would just memorized their names and stay the hell away from them. Because they are fools.

I think the time to debate is past. This division between right and left is a battle between those who know the difference between good and evil, and those who do not.
This by itself wouldn't be so bad. Very small children (arguably) can't discern between good and bad. But THESE people carry a righteous indignation with them about us and what we know to be true. They want to force us to believe that what they believe (i.e. homosexuality is acceptable....abortion is right to choose... war is wrong no MATTER what... the U.S. is evil) is good and acceptable. Then, when we refuse to go along with their lies, they brand us as narrow minded, and hateful. How ironic.
I'm at the point where I have nothing to say to them anymore. Battle lines have been drawn, and we'll all "fight" at the voting booth. The best I can muster for a leftist right now is to tell them that I'm sorry they don't know the difference between right and wrong...now stay away from me!
I think debating/arguing with them is largely an excercise in futility. It "seems" that it used to not be this way. I remember 15 years ago debating a friend of mine, and largely converting him to a conservative. Interestingly enough, he accepted Christ as well and changed his entire life soon afterwards. But THESE leftists we have around us now... they are ANGRY, and SPITEFUL....blinded by HATE. They are about impossible to communicate with once their hate is aroused....which usually takes the mere mention of George W. Bush, and the war in Iraq.
Certainly! Make a stand! But any in depth discussions with them are going to frustrate you and waste your time. I just laugh at them anymore, and the most I'll say (other than my standard, "I'm sorry...now go away!" line) is "Where'd you get that load of crap from?! CNN?!"....then laugh. They always give me a very strange, almost confused look when I do this.
Yeah....debate time is over. The time to fight is upon us. This time at the voting booth....next time....well...we'll deal with that a little later.
...but keep your powder dry.

No -- but I keep trying to tell my Leftist family (I have no Leftist friends) that the USA is the greatest force for good the world has ever seen.
I then go over the list, but having it in different order and with different sub-structure, etc. I shouldn't even have to do so, but I get frustrated. "If you don't like if, leave" comes to my mind more often than not.
It's just convenient to be able to have a well-written compendium like that.
