This is a serious thread, I am not joking about this issue. I was talking to a very respected surgeon earlier tonight, and that was their question to me. Columbia is a teaching hospital, the surgeons don't get as much experience, they have to also teach. Plus even among the City's teaching hosiptals, it's not the best. So why Columbia?

I have to disagree with you about teaching hospitals. Some of the best surgeons are in teaching hospitals. the problem with them if you are an ordinary guy is that you don't know whose cut'n on you. I worked at Shands at U of F (Gators) and this one guy killed 3 patients on the table before they pulled him. I worked in Neuro.
Huh. So all of a sudden, the focus is on excellence rather than skin color or sexual orientation. Isn't America's greatest strength its Diversity? Shouldn't Clinton have a surgical staff that looks like America?
FWIW, she's not the smartest woman in the world. He's proven that he deserves her. And I'd take that hospital over any other in another country.

I also have a serious question about this. As POTUS Clinton had the best medical care and I would think he'd have had various stress tests, PET scan, "Heart Check" etc, and if so, why were we always told he was in excellent health? Wouldn't a problem this severe have shown up 4-5 years ago?
I would think the best will be flown in or will be assisting or observing.
No way a President gets only OK care.
He also has to watch out for meningitis while in a hospital, that gets to recovering patients in hospitals all the time.
