Was Kerry Drunk?

Kerry's midnight speech from Ohio after President Bush had just finished his wondeful acceptance speech was one of the most puzzling disasters I've ever seen.

While the kid (the one who didn't serve), the dem VP wanna-be spoke, Traitor John stood behind him with a stupid grin on his face. I defy you to watch and not be reminede of Stan Laurel (some of you who watched are slamming your forehead with the heel of your hand, saying, "That's who he reminded me of!") of Laurel and Hardy.

Then, Kerry started his rambling rant. He was following notes on cards but kept rambling. It looked to me like he had already had a glass of very dry white wine ($200 a bottle and, of course, French) or two. He stumbled over some words several times (like the media LOVES to repeat when W does it) and just appeared to me to, how shall I say this, have a blood alcohol level higher than appropriate.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: apologize; boob; incompetent; kerry; resign; traitor
The several channels that carried his babbling all seem to let him run on for a while and when it was clear that he had nothing to say, sort of cut him off.

The guy is a lazy, arrogant loser. He may be fine for Massachusetts, but I want no part of him or the kid.

It is time to move past Kerry's military service in Nam and move to his treason in the early 70s. He aided the enemy, met with the enemy and damaged our efforts and individual servicemen. Let's move to the issue of why he isn't in jail. Why would Ammericans want a traitor in the Senate, much less the White House?

It must be going around. Al Franken sounded half in the bag on the Michael Medved show yesterday too.

I suspect he was just tired (who came up with the midnight rally idea??) but yeah, he was not fully functional.

Reminded me of the kid in school who tried to give an oral report without knowing what his topic would be, until he got in front the class. This guy would be the laziest president in our history.

I agree that there was something weirder than usual about Kerry last night. Maybe it was wishful thinking on my part, but I thought he looked scared to death and very unsure of himself. Normally he's got that arrogant, stinky goober-grin on his face, but last night, he just looked like he hadn't slept in a while and that his hands and face were shaking. Maybe he's due for Botox? I'm sure TahRAYzuh hates it when his face starts getting too full of expression.

He also didn't make any sense, but then again, I don't think he ever does. The Breck Girl was missing her pompoms and flared skirt, but other than that, was in full, rah rah look at my butt, not at the game mode.
