I could do with some torturing.
It's just the continuing battle...I love it here, but I have no real friends outside my family, and there aren't social groups like there were when I was in the military. If you don't drink or are above the age of 20 or so, you're on your own.
I can't help but feel envious of Anne in that story. She got to find someone in the Avonlea she loved so much. Me...I seem to have missed the boat. ;-)

I know what you mean, of course. I still feel like I have no friends, though there are some people who may become friends, and I've had live with that for a while. The Hobbit Hole helps, a lot. But not with the Someone aspect.
