Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm looking at more properties online. Need to find a nice place with enough sun to grow tomatoes.

I've never been into mystery stories or whodunnits. But Monk is sooooo lovable and charming that he could make a whodunnit fan out of me. :)

Mmmmm... tomaters. I have more than I can use. I'll have to get a dehydrator for next year so I can make 'sun'-dried tomatos.

Dang.... we switched to Seifeld because the episode with the holistic healer is on and we love that. We'll switch back and forth, I think!

You can do them in the oven on low heat.

Right now there's a kid with two broken arms in the hospital... coughing... on Monk (he's germophobic). The scene is hilarious. He tries to give the kid cough drops but won't get close to the kid's germy coughing mouth. So he tries to throw them into the kid's mouth from afar and just ends up peppering the munchkin with coughdrops. LOL

I tried that with a bunch of romas. They didn't turn out all that great. I think the oven, even at it's lowest setting, was too hot.

I'm just looking for the ones I want to go see.
Right now the old folks home is in the lead. It's mostly shaded but with some sun. Guess I could always rig up a raised bed on that half of the driveway I don't need (2 car garage).
To: Lil'freeper
Did you leave the oven door open a bit?
To: Overtaxed
Yes. But I think part of the problem was that Big'ol kept coming in to the kitchen and turning off the oven. ;)

Monk just solved the case... he's doing a jig. I'm off the couch laughing.

Morning OT, putting up wallpaper can be challenging, putting it on the ceiling can be even more so. But the results are certainly worth the effort in our opinion.
Beeeuuutiful weather today, and no pressing 'projects'. Doesn't get much better than that imo.
To: osagebowman
Heh. I always figured I'd end up with it looking like something the Three Stooges did.
I'm just hanging out with the kitty for the most part.
To: Lil'freeper
Uh-oh, Monk's on date.
The restraunt is on the 52nd floor- he doesn't do elevators so they're taking the stairs. *sigh*
