Ok, I'm burning cds. One of them is going to have extra space, which is wasteful - do you like samurai 7? I can include more of those. Or I can include a random assortment of anime songs.

Hullo! I kinda haven't been around, have I?

I've only watched part of the first episode of Samurai 7, but I think I could get into it. It's vey different from others I've seen, but the animation is way cool...

But songs would be neat, too!

I think I MIGHT have a NaNo idea...wouldn't be all that interesting for readers, but I don't have readers...so that'd be OK. I'm thinking of writing a journal, for a gal kinda like me only better. ;-) And giving her a nice happy ending. I'd have no shortage of things to write about that way. I'd say 50,000 words would only be a few months' worth of entries, and I could certainly come up with that. Wouldn't be fantasy, I don't think, though I suppose I COULD work in some elements. We'll see. In any case, if I don't come up with anything better by November, I at least have a fall back plan.

Oh, now this is very, very cool! I've GOT to save that picture! I'm so tickled for ya, WN!

Hm...I think Ann'd make a good elf. She's got that ageless wisdom thing going...plus the looks.

Glad to see the Miamians are OK! I hope ksen checks in soon...

Kev, Margaret said to tell you guys that you need to move back to NH where it's safe... ;-)

Good morning! Or early afternoon, here.

It's another fine fall day! We did have a little rain last night. The kids were here - we watched Candleshoe and had chili for dinner - but after they left, I went out for a walk, in spite of the dark and damp. After the warm day we had yesterday, half an hour of rain left the whole town wrapped up in mist, and with the street lights and the almost-full moon glowing in the fog, it was very beautiful. Not to mention fall just SMELLS so nice! I love the smell of damp leaves...

Sundays are all about lazy mornings!

Though I also went to church.

I really should do some gardening today, but that takes actual effort...and also Dad is bound to make something nice for lunch! As a general rule, all of us who live in the area descend on The House on Sunday afternoons for Scrabble, free food, and much political ranting and raving. ;-)

Good afternoon!

Just got a list of houses I want to see...need to pay some bills...listen to stoopid Cubs play.

Any more luck in the house hunting? Promising leads?

Just a few more added to the "go see" list. There is one that I saw earlier that might be a possible: has a nice backyard and a sun room. It doesn't have hardwood floors and a fireplace, though.

Mmmm...fireplace. That's one thing this place lacks. That and a nice big porch.

I do have the hardwood floors, though.

The other catch is that the decor is VERY seventies, and I don't have the money to fix it. *shudder* But I figure, if I can hang on, eventually it'll be "retro" and then "quaintly old-fashioned"...

*shudder* I'd hate to think that big splotchy sunflower wallpaper would come back in style.

Everything is fine here! Hope to hear from Kevin soon!

LCS may be feeling some weather too, by the looks of it!

Here's a couple of pics from the hurricane excitement. *grin*

They may load slower than normal because Boomspeed has been sucking eggs lately. :-(

I thought this bit of feeder band cloud going by was cool, so I caught it on camera. It was moving fast!

I used lucky charms to keep Jeanne away!

My house was shuttered up and The Shoes were on the walkway....

Jessi was a bit nervous so she sat on my lap. :-)

LOL! You left the shoes out in the storm?!

Of course not! *smile*

I left them out for a bit, but I was afraid they'd get ruined in the rain.

Now, if we had a direct hit, I may have tied them to a tree or something in order to get a cool shot of them flying around. ;-)

Or put a waterproof tag on them with your phone number... "Let me know where these end up!"

Great idea!

I could use a dog collar to lash them together and just have a cheap metal tag made with "Shoes of Power" and my phone number on it. LOL!

That sounds like a great plan! Write what you know!

You're getting some songs, by the way. Hope you like 'em. They're all in mp3 format. Sigh... FMA is almost over. We're going to have to find a new series.

I feel almost cheated. I was up watching Full Moon wo Sagashite until late last night, expecting some sad ending - kinda like the way Escaflowne ended; it was a good ending, but sad. And then it ends up with a happy ending!

Today: more coding, some work for my semester project, nothing exciting, but I might take some time to read. I was in such a funk yesterday evening, I had to start re-reading "Fruits Basket" just to make myself feel better.
