Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

hehe... after I found out "the secret" about keeping the glasses from fogging up... it never bothered me so much.
Just gotta take them off, and hold them in your hand as you go out the door, then put them back on. Frankly... I don't have any idea why that works. But it does.

It's quite simply actually.
Air gets trapped between your face and your glasses, so the hot and cold air create steam as they try to fight for space.
When the glasses are off, it doesn't happen since both sides are exposed to the humidity at once.
Or at least, that's what I think it is.

Toots and the Maytals has a good reggae version of Country Roads, better than the original, really.

Let's hope that thing turns in the next day or so.
Remember me saying some days ago that it might be the one to get me, since it's named after my lady?
Although I trust it to go north of here (I hope).
Brian Norcross was just saying to expect a hurricane event of some type in Miami this weekend. 'Course, IMO, Brian likes them to hit Miami.

I agree with you on Brian. *smile* He likes the drama.
*sigh* I dunno, Sam. Jeanne is headed straight west as of 10pm and that isn't good. We both remember what happened the last time a storm took that track. :-(
I'd like to get out of here for this one, but feel silly since it'll probably just follow me up the state anyway.

Well, if it hits north of here, say Ft Pierce or Palm, it won't bother us too much, though it'll be a problem for ksen.
This stuff keeps up, I'm liable to become religious or something.
I don't believe Jeanne will be as powerful as Andrew was, but she looks to be pretty bad.
