Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Next thing you know, the socialists will be complaining because the government didn't pay for everyone to be evacuated.

The subway is reserved for liberals. :D

You mean they aren't already?
To: Overtaxed
There's a thought...let the "limousine liberals" become the "submarine liberals"...

It's not fair that some people didn't have cars to drive them out of the danger zone! The government should provide everyone with a car!
(/sarcasm, natch)

Well liberals are the only ones I know of who'd be stupid enough to go underground during a hurricane.

WOW! The cost of living sure is easier in KS!
That is a really nice house, so I can only imagine what the other one looks like. But I do hope you get the screened porch one, OT!

Hehehe... good one.
Had an interesting political discussion with a "moderate" (I think he's liberal, but he's an ok guy) coworker. He's not voting for Bush, hates Bush, but is sure Bush is going to be re-elected. Such a pleasant discussion that makes!

I like the yard in the other one better and the "other one" has some hardwood floors. It's problem is that it doesn't have a deck or patio in the back. If I get it maybe I'll put in one of those sunrooms that can convert to a screened porch and maybe a patio off to the side.

Well, be sure to calculate it out and see if you can add a screen porch and still be within budget.
It's a lovely house and a nicer yard does mean a nicer view for Her Royal Highness. ;-)

Her Royal Highness would like a screened porch. I can put one of those pet door panels in the sliding glass door so she can get to the screend porch anytime....then hopefully she wouldn't wake me up at 2 in the morning so she can take the night air.
Oh yeah..one thing about both these houses that she wouldn't like: The kitchen cabinets go up all the way to the ceiling so she can lounge on top of them.
