The Hobbit Hole XV - Pass them by! Pass them by!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Pass them by! Pass them by!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Top Ramen is not to be underestimated. It is good food. In my college days I learned many many ways to fix it.

My favorites were: Ramen with scrambled eggs and ketchup, nad Ramen (dry) with peanut butter. :-)

Time to do a cookbook.

Please, take her off the market. On behalf of all us single conservative gals, make this sacrifice.

Ramen noodles were a big favorite of mine and Steve's back in our ute. He'd stirfry them! I don't know how he did it, but they were absolutely delicious.

But then again, refried beans straight out of the can were too.

My condolences.

My family's plate history: CA, OR, FL, AK (1917), NM (AYC 476), WA (BUP 884), VA (LUB 669), NC (CRX 9390), and MI (several, incl KFY 620; I'll keep the current ones under the cone of silence). Lotsa movin'.

Oh yeah, I had a US forces plate on my freaky little Opel in Germany. Don't remember the number.

Yeah, I've read the sequel to Time and Again. Time after Time or something like that? It's been a little while. I could request that.

Space opera...ehhh. Not sure about that. But I guess I could always try just one and see what I think.

I sometimes throw drained ramen in a frypan with a smidge of butter and a splash of Kikkoman.

Oy. I need looking after.
