The Hobbit Hole XV - Pass them by! Pass them by!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Pass them by! Pass them by!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

GOOD GRIEF, MISS HAIR! If I were ecurbh, there'd be no more little airplanes for you. If God had wanted hobbits, or hubbits, or any other homo sapiens types, to fly, he'd have given us wings. How's THAT for conservative? :^)

Anyway, I'm delighted you got off so easily.

Jeez, Miss Hair, you're jerking me around worse that John F. Kerry would! You're not planning to run for the Dem nomination next time around, are you? :^) If so, I'm sure we can can get lots of freepers to support you against the junior senator from New York and her pantsuit.

ecurbh would make a good First Hubbit... but I don't think she'd want to be away from the ponies so often.

You're right about ecurbh, and as for the ponies, she could put 'em up in the White House back yard. Or they could tear down the Capitol building and put the horses there because I'm sure our Miss Hair would be the first president to be a STRICT constitutionalist, and we all know how the First Amendment starts: "Congress shall make no law" STOP RIGHT THERE! Thus obviating the need for the Capitol and creating paradise for true Americans and room for Miss Hair's horsies.

And of course, from then on we'd have to call the President's house the White Horse.

The rumour mill quoth: the DVD RotJ coming out this month has been digitally rejiggered. Spoiler: the ghost of Anakin Skywalker, seen with the ghostly Yoda and (mercifully) still Guinnessy Kenobi, is a nearly-thirty-something Hayden Christiansen. Harrumph.
