Signs of Dems Collapse (vanity)
my little brain | me

Posted on 09/02/2004 9:23:47 AM PDT by Hoodlum91

Was behind a hybrid car yesterday with environmentalist plates and a big W 2004 sticker in the window. Thought that if a Enviro hybrid owner if supporting Bush, the DNC might start jumping out the window. I also know 3 people in the past week to change their minds and not only vote for Bush, but want to volunteer and put stickers on their cars (includes my father who has NEVER put a sticker on his car for ANYONE and didn't want to vote for Bush until two weeks ago). Looking for other personal examples of the Dems imploding (funny desperate posts from DU also appreciated)

Just posted this on the Rush thread. It's from DU:

Any chance Frances will destroy Florida's voting machines? It would be a terrible shame. God's will, of course, but just a shame.

Nice folks, these Liberals...

Awww don't feel down. Like Bush said, "I don't intend on losing". We still have the debates and Bush and Cheney will blow Kerry and Edwards away. Have faith! :-)

Ugh. I wish folks would stop talking about Kerry being finished. Many thought the same thing during the primaries. He survived to fight another day.

They are so kind! Maybe that's why it cheers me up some to see them go into panic mode.

Oh no he's definately not finished. He has an ad blitz coming out next week but so does Bush. It's going to be a fight to the wire!

It looks like God Himself is going to disenfranchise the voters in Florida.

I'm in western MA and Kerry will not win here... once you cross the CT River though, they vote dem like their lives depended on it. Which in fact it probably does.

The closer to Boston you get the more your income is dependent on the government teat.

I moved to DC from MA a year ago. I know my home town (on the 495 belt NW of Boston) had more votes cast for Bush in the primary than for all the Democrats combined (it's a fairly conservative town).

I also seem to recall a poll shortly before I moved that showed Bush beating Kerry in a head to head in Mass. Of course, that was a year ago and Kerry's campaign was faltering (shortly after his prostate cancer surgery, I think). I'm sure the Dems certainly have gotten the sheep in line by now.

People don't buy fuel-efficient vehicles just because
they're human haters (excuse me, I mean "tree huggers").

We own two small-block turbos; one is diesel. Although
we drive 24,000 miles a year, the efficiency has allowed
us to essentially ignore fuel prices.

If they weren't from the Axis of Weasels, I say that
the VW TDI models are worth a look, because they are
essentially "luxury economy cars".

C'mon dude... you know better than that. At best they will embarrassingly but dutifully vote for Kerry.

These people ain't worth dirt! They let a pro-gay minority take away their right to vote. They yawned and scratched their ass when the dems nixed their state income tax-cut.

I've been looking to land a job anywhere but here for the last year. I pray to God it happens soon!

Good luck!! Getting out of that messed up state was the best thing for me!!!

Love DC area BTW...also, lots of job growth down here (as opposed to the VERY stagnant MA economy)

Here's something from Ohio that I posted on another thread. It spells out some of what I've been hearing in Ohio:

Here's a little more news about Ohio. I recently went out to dinner with some friends who live in Cleveland. There was a couple there who religiously vote Democrat no matter what, so when the swift boat stuff was mentioned for discussion the husband starts giving us all a rant about what a traitor kerry is and how he betrayed his country and there ain't now way in hell he's going to vote for him.

I damn near fell off the chair and knocked myself out. This guys wife always claims to be an independent but we all razz her about how we're gonna come with her to the polls and video her holdin' her nose while she pulls the trigger for Kerry. Anyhow, she looked really depressed after her husbands rant about Kerry.

As it turns out, this guy works for a bunch of lawyers who collect bad depts and apparently this guy got into it with one of the lawyers when he was challenged for not voting for Kerry. Again he went into the same rant we had just witnessed (the lawyer was screaming at him at this point in the story) and then he told us that 250 vets basically all telling the same story vs. one guy, Kerry, telling a different one....well he said to the lawyer,"Hey, your a lawyer even you know what that means, you do the math. Me , I believe the 250 swiftboat vets" end quote.

This is first hand knowledge that I have that the Swifties are affecting this race.....I never in a million years would have believed this guy would vote for Bush but he's gonna cause he's p!ssed off at Kerry.

I just hope Bush can take Ohio to the bank because of it.
