I guess Kerry went windsailing, or windsurfing, or whatever you call it, today. Apparently it's tricky, physically demanding, maybe dangerous (see Oregonian article about some journalist who shares this enthusiasm with Kerry). But to me, Kerry sure looks like an elitist doing it. Somehow, I don't think those photos of him on his windboard, or whatever it's called, are going to get him more votes than they lose him. Or am I totally off-base here?
Well, I don't mean to knock it...it actually looks like fun. It's just an observation that I can't help making, though.
Re your pick: Oh, holy crap!
"Jaws", Maui. Nearby Ho'okipa beach is said to be the best windsurfing beach in the world. Certainly fun to watch them

Would W wear flowered shortsies?
No.
W would burn those flowered shortsies.
A real man does whatever it pleases him to do. Why it pleases him to do so must be considered when judging a man by what he does.
Would John Wayne windsurf?
Would Teddy Roosevelt windsurf?
Would Ronald Reagan windsurf?
If he did, he'd do it like a man. He would also check to make sure there was wind.
Would Ronald Reagan windsurf? Would Humphrey Borart windsurf? Gary Cooper? Duke Wayne? Jimmy Stewart? I could see Alan Alda windsurfing, sure --
I notice that in New York Times for Sunday, Sep 5, some Dem leaders are quoted saying the windsurfing thing is a problem - underscores Kerry's elitist, out-of-touch apect. Bingo
At the Jersey shore, I've seen guys on surf boards who were hooked up to a parachute! I'd like to see Kerry on one of those. Maybe the jet stream would catch him and return him to France.
Does he think he looks manly? I think he looks dorky.
It's a SPORT!!--It's like Golf or Tennis, or Handball!!
The "Issue" is "IRRELEVANT!!"
Doc
"Would Ronald Reagan windsurf? Would Humphrey Borart windsurf? Gary Cooper? Duke Wayne? Jimmy Stewart?"
If it pleased them to do so, why would they not? As I said, a real man does whatever it pleases him to do. Perhaps I should add that just becuase it pleases him to do so does not mean he is a real man. At the least, why it pleases him to do so must be considered when making that judgement.
It's a pathetic attempt to make himself look hip.
It's quite relevant.
