Here's a hypothetical. Suppose Kerry's boat was under heavy fire and he gunned the engine, Rassman fell overboard, and there were no other boats present.

More likely scenario: Suppose as soon as Kerry heard the mine go off, he and his boat took off and Rassman fell overboard.

That is what I tend to think really happened. The reason for the hypothetical is that I wonder if given my scenario, Rassman would still be floating in the river.
