Bill Kristol and and Fred Barnes are on TV stating that it "wouldn't be out of the question" for McCain to be put on the ticket on Tuesday! I guess Dan Rather mentioned this today too. The rumor is the strange Bush appearance at the American Legion convention in Arizona on Tuesday, where McCain will join him. McCain is speaking the night before and would fly clear across the country for a SINLGE appearance and the nfly clear across the country to NY for the rest of the convention.
Also, Chenecy has canceled MULTIPLE upcoming interviews.
Something fishy is going on...
It was eery how serious Kristol was in his "prediction" for the week that Cheney drops out. I thought he was joking, but he then began to list reasons for his cause.
I guess there was an interview with Fred Barnes that was very strange as well.
Another HUGE thing that has happened is that McCain is now saying that Kerry's activities after he got back from Vietnam is FAIR GAME!!!
Something may be up...
huh?
Ridiculous. The ticket will remain Bush/Cheney.
Cheney's just a stint away, eh?!
Nobody else on the panel gave this any credibility.
Nor do I.
The story is getting strange. Why the hell would Dan Rather "leak" such a rumor, other than to dampen the suprise???
What Kristol really wants is for Bush to resign and let McCain run in his stead. Then Kristol might get the chance to play Karl Rove.
American Legion conference is in McCain's home state. So he flies across the country and back ... big deal.
Kristol is full of wishful thinking regarding McCain, but he is not going to get his wish.
I think McCain is suffering the same kind of dementia that Kerry is and would be a bad choice for VP.
McCain has as much chance of being added to the ticket as Hillary Clinton does.
What are your thoughts on McCain stating that Kerry's post-Vietnam anti-war activities are "Fair Game"?
Cheney was just here in New York at Ellis Island today. Doesn't sound like somebody who's dropping out.
It's fair game and will be discussed regardless of what McCain says.
what could McCain really say about that? if he says Kerry's senate testimony was "right on" - he would wreck his status as a veteran and war hero.
If Cheney was dropping out (and I think it is faintly possible), Ratherbiased would be among the last to know about it. Remember this is the traitor who interviewed Saddam and refused to share any possible intelligence after the fact.
I just read another news article that says the convention is in Nashville. Kerry is supposed to be speaking there on Wednesday, and Bush and McCain will be there on Tuesday.
(Just doing my part in mongering the conspiracy.)
One of the guys on FOX (either Barnes or Kristol) said that they recieved a Bush-McCain bumper sticker and gave it away, but they should have kept it.
I could of sworn I've seen some.
