60 Minutes at it Again (Smamelessly Going After Halliburton)

Did anyone catch 60 Minutes? I only saw a few minutes in passing, but once again, they're carrying Skerry's water, this time going after Halliburton again...

Do they ever do an episode without blasting Bush or his team, or his policies...

It's a damned campaign ad every week for Skerry.

CBS is an absolute disgrace!

Are their ratings still as high as they used to be?

I never watch the MSM evening news shows, but for some reason had nothing to do tonight at 6:30 and caught a few minutes of the CBS Evening News.

As inured as I am to the hijinks of the liberal press, I still was shocked at how biased it was. The focus was the big protest march in NYC, and the gist was this: the marches were peaceful, the police precautions were overblown, etc. There were a number of interviews with overaged hippies talking about how peaceful and cooperative they and all their fellow demonstrators were.

The capper? The only person shown screaming or yelling was . . . a Republican!! A counter-demonstrator was shown yelling "four more years!" at the demonstrators.

If anyone has any doubt as the extreme liberal bias of the MSM, just tune in one of the evening news shows any night.

Halliburton-Abu Grabber-Halliburton-Abu Grabber-Halliburton-Abu Grabber....say it long enough and keep it in every single newscast and news magazine program every day...it's a mantra. Halliburton = Cheney and Abu Grabber = Donald Rumsfeld and no-WMD/Iraq war/poverty increase/economy flat = Bush.

Socialist propaganda works.

During the Democratic convention in Boston, did the MSM focus as much on the protests as they are going to do in the Republican convention in New York. I think all the protests will over shadow the actual convention this go-round.

As others have pointed out in prior posts, Halliburton is a corporation, owned by millions of stockholders. And many of those stockholders are retirement organizations representing millions of UNION WORKERS. In essence, Halliburton monetarily benefits liberal/moderate/conservative employees as long as it has competent and clear thinking managers. It would be foolish for people to hope that somehow, something disastrous would happen to Halliburton. And it is simply amazing for one corporation - CBS - to point at another corporation and try to paint it as a "bad" corporation. (It's also increcibly naive).

As Geist mentions above, CBS obviously knows that. They want to keep creating a link between Cheney and Haliburton... sort of like Pavlov's dog... As soon as the bell rings, the dog salivates for the food... As soon as Halliburton is mentioned, libs salivate and hate Cheney and Bush (even though 95% of these dolts have no idea what Halliburton is all about).

I never watch NBC as it is completely in the tank. However the wife had it on when I came in and I saw that segment. I was so pissed off. I could see the signs in the back they ignored. I immediately sent them an email about the rank propaganda they spewed.
Of course, they won't care. Thanks to Free Republic and the internet I have a factual source for information.

I know. It's just that I hate the comic book, bodice buster mentality of these supposed "educated" people. It's like listening to a child talk to a "pretend" friend.
