Hi Jane...

The article I linked in #56 is very relevant to what you have said. Many of us took the media as "truth" when in fact it was (and is) "entertainment".

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't blame the people of this grand and glorious nation but I do blame sKerry and those who followed and supported him. There is still today a great number of folks who are "blind" to what the convoluted garbage spun by the media.

Isn't kay's favorite line: "I hate the media!"?

Yes, your article was very relevant.

A couple of years ago I was discussing the media with a friend of mine and happened to mention this little fact about the Tet Offensive. She STILL hadn't learned the truth, and she was then even MORE angry at the media.

I don't know how exactly to explain it to people who don't know the truth. All I know is that I see the democrats and the media attempting to do the exact same thing to this generation.

They are trying to steal honor from the military; they are trying to steal pride in our nation from the people.

Remember how unified we were after September 11? I even had charitable feelings for Daschle!

And then it changed. And I can tell you exactly when it changed: Hillary Clinton stood in the well of the Senate and waved around that "Bush KNEW!!" headline and DEMANDED answers.

They are trying to assassinate President Bush's reputation and that of the military, all to regain power.

I despise them. Kay's comment is not strong enough. To borrow from doug from upland, I have COSMIC LOATHING of these people.

Yes, my favorite line is I HATE THE MEDIA.

I have maintained for years that they are far more dangerous than corrupt politicians. The very reason that the press was given special protections in the Bill of Rights was so that they would not be beholden to or under the thumb of the government but could be completely impartial. Their function, as I see it, is to report on events (just the facts, ma'am, just the facts) and to investigate and ferret out corruption.

When they are in the pocket of the politicians, they no longer function as they were intended. They become merely a propaganda branch of a corrupt and evil party.

And so many in the media today are so poorly educated that they can't write complete sentences using correct grammar, further diluting their effectiveness in transmitting information.

As I look back, I see this trend having started back when I was a child. I can remember even in high school talking about the bias of NBC, though can't call the name of the anchor at the time ... it was long before Brokaw or even John Chancellor.

And it has gradually worsened through the years, incrementally, until today there is not even a pretense of objectivity or true investigative journalism.

They hide behind the First Amendment while warping its very intent into the very opposite of what it should mean.

I view the media as far more dangerous to our nation than the most evil of politicians ... and those abound in today's world.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
