Paul: I'll start it out. You earned the gold and should be proud. What some are trying to do is unconscionable. The judges made an error in degree of difficulty, and they made an error in missing a mistake. Those offset each other. Your comeback and the character you showed will certainly inspire other young American gymnasts.

FReepers, I am asking you for a personal favor. This is like a greeting card. I hope you will join me with congratulatory messages so we can send it to Paul. If you want to debate, please do it on another thread. I created that other thread HERE. I appreciate your consideration.
Congratulations, a well and hard earned medal. The Koreans need to apoligize to you for there outlandish behavior and so should the international gymnastics people.
Just say no, Paul. I think the whole controversy is unfair to you. Keep your gold medal, it's well deserved. That was a great comeback performance. Unfortunately, I already knew the results when I watched the event, otherwise I probably would have been biting my nails when you did your routines.
Just remember, the ice skating couple who won the gold were not asked to return their medal so it can be given to the Canadian couple.
Congratulations Mr. Hamm! The judges judged you the best all around gymnast that day. Don't let the nick pickers bother you.
Paul, You are a great American and a great athlete. We are proud to "know" you and your wonderful family. Congratulations, and thanks for representing us with talent, dignity, and strength of character.
From Carol and Rod and all of the kids and parents at the South Miami Gymnastic Center in Miami, Florida USA.
