So, what does he have in common with Kerry? BTW, Benedict Arnold lived out his final days in England. If Kerry were like BA, he'd have run for congress in Hanoi.

Not even close. Benedict Arnold was one of our greatest generals and war heroes before he turned against us. Kerry, on the other hand, was just a dorky, cowardly, war criminal, liar and poser before and after he turned against America.

"Not even close. "

Agreed. From what I've read, Arnold was also regretful for the rest of his life for his treason and never tried to use it for political gain.

you have a point about there respective hero status, my only point was, you can be a "hero" and you still have to account for the rest of your actions, being recognized as such doesn't insulate you from criticism the rest of your life.

Timothy McVeigh was a decorated hero during the '81 war with Iraq.

Like Kerry and, both served honorable in the U.S. Military.

What they did after they departed the military, is what counts!

This is the person who Senator Kerry should be compared with!

Timothy McVeigh was a decorated hero during the '81 war with Iraq.

While on double secret probation, during the Dukakis presidency.

Agreed. Benedict Arnold was the best (by far) general in the continental army at the time. He was the only one with a winning record against the redcoats. But a man can only eat so much crap before he snaps.

Kerry is no Benedict Arnold. He's a Rosenburg. Incidently, Rosenburg's Soviet codename was "Liberal".

Actually the point of the story was that this guy was a POW for 5 years and had earned the HIGHEST medal awarded. He says Kerry was wrong to condemn the veterans.

Just one more Vet, like Dole, speaking out. Of course, the RATs will say hateful things about one of our country's most highly decorated war hero. Why? Because they think Kerry is a war hero --

I know war heros...and Mr. Kerry you are no war hero!
