I saw that too. I forming the opinion that mr. colmes iso reminding me of the trash that gave me crap when I came home from viet nam. Mr. Colmes, I no longer consider you to be a liberal, but in my mind you are a communist, like the communist (jane fonda/tom hayden/john kerry/ramsey clark) et al that caused me and my fellow veterans to be trashed when we came home.
For those freepers and lurkers that are not old enough to have experienced what transpired let me elaborate. The same communists (kennedy and the rest of the democratic senate and house) way back when painted with a broad brush that we (those that went to "the Nam") were rapist and baby killers.
Kerry and his co-communists undermined the support for the war and ultimately millions died. I was accused of being a rapist/baby killer by family members long before kerry gave his communist talking points in front of the senate. I came home during the TET offensive of 1968 and was called a rapist/baby killer in Mar of 1968 by my family.
Kerry, in repeating the communist (kgb, nva,vc) talking points in front of the world during the fullbright hearings)just re-inforced their accusations.
The America I came home to in 1968 was bit the America I left in 1966. Communist kerry is now saying that what he TESTIFIED to were the words of an "angry young man". He was 27 when he lied for the communist. I was an angry young man when I came home, but I wasn't old enough to buy a drink.
Had the military released me on the day I came home, I would have renounced my citizenship and left America with never a glance back. But the military did not release me, nor did the military let me go back to my brothers. A year later they released me, and I rejoined our society.
President Ronald Regan gave ME respect as an American, and I am once again the total patriot I was in 1965 when I joined the Marines.
John kerry the traitor on returning "home" to America joined those that trashed veterans. He is now trying with the help of the media and mr. colmes to do to the Afgan,Iraq veterans what was done to those of us that served in Viet Nam.
Not all Americans treated us as trash. I was able to walk in a ticker tape parade in the city of San Diego on the return of the 26th Marines in early 1969, just before my release from active duty.
Thank you stumpy, well said, and thank you for your service.

Nice post, Stumpy, and thanks for your service. I left VN in Jan 70, spent 10 days in the Philippines at my PCS station then flew from 90+F to -12F in Chicago. I never got any flak from people, but I was wearing a sailor uni. The wacko's are mostly on the left and right coast, I hope!
