Bats, hell, I can't get rid of a woodpecker who has been destroying my house for years. Was told that I must have termites or carpenter ants as that is what the woodpecker is after, a food supply. Exterminator says nothing doing, never had carpenter ants, and has been treated for termites and they show no sign of returning.
I have a man made stucco and I offered to animal control, aka local PETA and offered to take him out with 22 but was told I would be arrested forinjuring an "endangered species."

I think I'd arrange an untimely accident.

Woodpeckers like that lard based food that includes peanut butter, etc. Try feeding him. What kind of woodpecker? And who would know what you do with or to it?

Woodpeckers were tearing up my window sills where the carpenter bees had bored. I bought a few rubber snakes at the dollar store and let them hang off the side of screens and haven't had a woodpecker since.
