Kerry's favorite Bible Verse-John 16:3 (email)

The Lord has a way of revealing those of us who really know him, and those that don't!
Kerry gave a big speech last week about how his faith is so "important" to him. In this attempt to convince the American people that we should consider him for president, he announced that his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3.
Of course the speech writer meant John 3:16, but nobody in the Kerry camp was familiar enough with scripture to catch the error. And do you know what John 16:3 says?
John 16:3 - "They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me."
The Spirit works in strange ways.

This reminds me of the joke in the Charlie Sheen movie "Hot Shots" where they parody spectators at sporting events carrying signs reading "John 3:17" (one verse off).

kerry likes the part when Jesus nails himself to the cross and everyone feels bad for him and voted him in as president...oh wait that didn't happen in the Bible. I guess kerry doesn't have a favorite part, never mind

...Actually the story has something about a dog named VC rolling a stone away from a cave after it was blown up by a mine that was covered in ketchup.

Relax pal, have a drink on me. I never stated it was true, correct or factual. You see where it says email? That questions the verasity of it if nothing else does.
I posted it to 'chat', not your ever-loving 'breaking news'.
You want to ban me for six months. I say, "No soup for you!!! Six months!! Ha!! ; )

This is an urban legend that has been atttributed to George Bush SR, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and now Kerry.

Hedgecock reported it as fact on Rush's show today. Millions and millions heard. Probably only a tiny fraction of the audience knows that this has been around before.
Even if it is a fraud, there are surely a few people of faith who believe it and are so angered by it that they will change their vote. More people of faith who are angered by it, and get their butts out to the polls and vote when they may not have done so otherwise. Kerry is a dangerous traitor -- there are a billion reasons to vote against him -- if one of them happens to be false I am not going to spend all night wringing my hands over it.

So you endorse lying as a campaign tactic?
