Good Morning Everyone! The shredder has a short so we were unable to finish our shredding last week while business was slow. We'll have to do it while doing the rest of our work now. So far the work load has not been so bad that I can not FReep, but I do now know how many FReeping/work days I will have. I'll enjoy it while I can!

This came to me in e-mail...

Subject: FW: Amen for Senior Moments

A couple in their nineties is having problems remembering things, so they decide to go to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor tells them that they are
physically okay but they might want to start writing things down to help them remember.

Later that night, while watching TV, the old man gets up from his chair.

His wife asks, "Where are you going?"

"To the kitchen," he replies.

She asks, "Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"

The husband says, "Sure."

She gently reminds him, "Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?"

He says, "No, I can remember that!"

She then says, "Well, I'd like some strawberries on top. You'd better write it down 'cause I know you'll forget it."

He says, "I can remember that! You want a bowl of ice cream with strawberries."

She adds, "I'd also like whipped cream. Now I'm certain you'll forget that, so you'd better write it down."

Irritated, he says, "I don't need to write it down. I can remember that! Ice cream with strawberries and whipped cream!"

He then grumbles all the way to the kitchen.

After about 20 minutes the old man returns from the kitchen and hands his wife a plate of bacon and eggs.

She stares at the plate for a moment and says, "Where's my toast?"

Did you say, "Where's my toast?"

A Toast to our Native Land

Huge and alert, irascible yet strong,
We make our fitful way 'mid right and wrong.
One time we pour out millions to be free,
Then rashly sweep an empire from the sea!
One time we strike the shackles from the slaves,
And then, quiescent, we are ruled by knaves.
Often we rudely break restraining bars,
And confidently reach out toward the stars.

Yet under all there flows a hidden stream
Sprung from the Rock of Freedom, the great dream
Of Washington and Franklin, men of old
Who knew that freedom is not bought with gold.
This is the Land we love, our heritage,
Strange mixture of the gross and fine, yet sage
And full of promise destined to be great.
Drink to Our Native Land! God Bless the State!

Good Morning Everyone! The shredder has a short so we were unable to finish our shredding last week while business was slow.

Mornin'! :^D

The last company I worked at we had TONS of shredding to do. Old QC docs, old/obsolete manufacturing records, accounting records, sales stuff, etc. TONS of it. We had 600 people at my facility at the peak. We had a shredder and it worked OT. Trouble was that it would stack up because shredding the cra* was way down on priority list and we were so busy most of the time. I called a company in ("Shred-It") to look at what we were doing and they gave us a proposal to do all of our shredding for us. They provided LOCKED (secured) containers throughout the plant and came out weekly and kept us cleaned up. They shredded EVERYTHING on site, too, so we could have an observer if we wanted to make sure it all got shredded. It worked out great and folks that had better stuff to do than shred documents were kept busy at company business then. Our management loved it!
