Two threads appeared over the weekend, that have me rolling on the floor laughing.
Thread #1: Latest chapter of the Dog vs. Cat theory trying to predict the 2004 election.
Thread #2: Collin Powell holding a black cat regarding Friday the 13th.
First three pictures this week are from these two threads. Last picture is a classic blast from the past. Enjoy and caption away.

Right now I have sitting in my lap a small kitty that has spent the better part of a month outside...
I will have photos later...
He/she is a real cutie. It also thinks I am its mommy now. :-)
I finally got him/her to come in the door tonight which was promptly closed behind him/her...
I still don't know if it is a boy or girl. Hopefully, tomorrow.
Someone mention Kerry?
I hate to say it, but since the gray fox moved in here, stray cat sightings are rare.
Second picture isn't showing. Tried to copy the URL, but couldn't get it do anything other than tell me I wasn't authorized to view.
Kitty Dude/Dudette! The tuna must have worked.
With that sweet face, has to be a kittydudette. She is pretty.
He almost fits in my hand. He is a little big for one hand. Two is fine.
We are thinking he is a boy now. So it should stay 'Kittendude'!!!!
Refresh your settings (i.e. smash computer into little pieces and buy new one).
It is five kitties huddled around a "comode".
Boy, that is young!!! Is it drinking milk or are you going to have to get up every three hours? (Please, no screaming)
Not loading for me, either. Says 28x30 pixels, k unknown.
Someone dumped a very young one on my property a while back- my guess is they got it and fed it a bunch of crap and then when it got sick, didn't want it anymore, stuck it in a box and then later threw the poor thing on my driveway. [First cat I've ever had that is terrified of boxes.] So I had this crap-covered thing with a bad case of the trots (looked like the Democrats had already smeared it good) show up on my doorstep when Reagan's funeral was going on. Fortunately for her I heard her through the door before some wild animal did. (Not that a self-respecting wild animal would eat something that smelly, anyway.) It was so dehydrated I wasn't sure it would live and it wouldn't come within reach, not even for a bribe of food, so there wasn't much I could do.
So for a while it chased after anything that looked remotely like its mom- and even the normally very bold raccoons ran away from that filthy and loud kitten as fast as they could go, and she chased them across an acre of land before going after my cat, too. Not aggressively- but they weren't taking any chances.
Finally the kitten had enough trying to find a mother-substitute and let down its guard long enough to let me get ahold of her and clean her off.
Turned out to be gorgeous after she was washed up and fed and healthy again- prettiest one I've seen in a while, and owing to when she showed up she, she got the name "Dutch." Problem is, my resident cat is a havanese-looking streetwise stray with an attitude--- she doesn't like the little one at all, no matter how friendly it is. I have a feeling a state of civil war will break out any time. I expect to be zotted when she reaches full size.
He showed up about a month ago. He immediately started eating the cat food we put out for him. I would go out and talk to him while he was eating. This week, I started putting tuna out for him. Then I started making him eat it from the spoon I was holding. We got a live trap and put tuna in it. He looked at it for about 2 hours and then another stray we feed came in and tripped the trap. He was not happy and I knew then that the live trap would NEVER work on the kitty. So, today when we were at the office and little kitten was VERY hungry. He was getting really close to me and screaming for tuna, I coaxed him into the office and shut the door.
I am surprised that after that he has been so receptive to me. It's like I'm his mother or something. He lets me pick him up and just purrs like a little madman. He is very cute.
" I expect to be zotted when she reaches full size."
Zotted? You? No, please, everybody has to be well, happy, and spoiled.
Oh, sorry, I thought I was answering abner. I just realized we got two stray kitten stories going.
If he thinks you are his mother, are you sure it isn't a furry duck? What does he look like; he sounds like a charmer.
More Kittendude photos from tonight:
He seems to be adjusting well to people. The first two photos are of him on my lap, and the 3rd he is on the lap of the guy that flies our space shuttle.
